That was a PERFECT Halloween Shot...black and orange!

It was indeed a great trip! I can't wait to hear all the great memories! AND I will try to post some of Ceasar's great video on the site! We'll get an official photo gallery set up so we can post pics in there too!

And we'll do a recap in our private Cozumel Discussion Forum to share emails etc. so we can swap pictures!

Plus we had TWO birthday members on this trip! One the day we arrived and one on Halloween.

Oh yeah...and the costume party was AMAZING...with not one but two dive trips given away as prizes!

More to come...

I had a great time also.

My trip started with a big snowstorm hitting Denver the day I am leaving. Fortunately, my flight wasn't cancelled, just delayed a couple of hours. We were still able to catch the last puddle jumper over from Cancun to Cozy and grab the last taxi leaving the then closed Cozumel airport over to the hotel. Thanks WW for the tips on catching the flight, it worked out well.

Three days of great diving. While I did only the base package and not the afternoon dives, I dove the following sites off of Big Splash..
10/29
Palancar Gardens
Cedral Pass
10/30
Palancar Caves
San Francisco Wall
Chakanaab (Night Dive)
10/31
Punta Sur
Columbia Shallows

This was my first time diving Chakanaab and Punta Sur and all of our dives were great. Fernando, Mario & the boat crew treated us very well as usual. Yeah, we had a little rain on Saturday, but overall it was still a good time!

Casa Del Mar treated us well again. My roomie & I were very happy with our corner room. I'll put in dibs for the same room next year!

This was my 4th trip to Cozy with Single Divers, staying at Casa Del Mar & Diving with Del Mar Aquatics. Each one seems to be memorable in its own way. This as definitely the largest and it was a great group to dive with..Thanks to everyone! Can't way to do it again..

What a great trip! I have major KUDOS to give and some incredible stories to tell.

On the heels of AMAZING assistance WreckWench received from American Airlines, I have another story of simply INCREDIBLE service from employees of American Airlines! I left Denver as the storm started on a flight leaving at 6:45 am… or at least that was when we were scheduled for take off. We left the gate close to on time, but needed to go to the deicing station on the tarmac. A fifteen minute procedure turned into an hour and a half before we could take off. Needless to say, I didn’t expect to make a connection that was scheduled an hour and forty minutes from our original landing time. As connecting gates were announced we all scanned the airport map and I saw NO WAY I was going to make my connection. When we landed I heard an announcement that anyone on the Cancun flight needed to meet someone just outside the airplane door and not head up the jetway. I was met at the airplane door, escorted down steps to the tarmac and joined about a dozen other passengers in a small van. We were driven to the connecting gate, taken to an elevator, and dropped just feet from the entry to the jetway to the next flight. I was surprised by the service, and a little skeptical that I’d see my luggage in Cancun… but I misjudged. From everything I could see, not only did I get my luggage, but so did everyone else who made the connection. I am not a frequent traveler on American Airlines, I hold no status as an elite customer or anything like that, but after service like that…I’ll look at their flights more closely!

I haven’t tried the ferry and bus service from Cancun to Cozumel, but after following WW’s information about the flight between the two, and meeting up with Clint and Dave we headed to terminal one and it was smooth sailing (er, flying) into Cozy.

This was my fourth trip to Cozumel, and I still enjoy seeing all the variety it holds. It was a new experience to see the wreck C53 as well as more familiar scenes of Palancar Gardens and Caves and the other reefs. Plenty of turtles, more nursesharks than I’ve seen on other trips, sea urchins, a variety of fish, and much more. The company was great and I had a great buddy in ScubaClint on my last two dives! :thankyou:

It was great to see old friends and meet new ones… and I even stayed awake in the evening some of the time!! :cool1: :D

When it was time to leave, another thing happened that is one more reason I know the people involved in SingleDivers.com are terrific. On the flight home I'd half fallen asleep on the flight when I heard a terrible thud in the plane but didn't register it, then I heard a bunch of shouting from passengers around me. A woman was walking down the isle and fell head first on the floor. George aka diveteacher and some other passengers quickly helped assist with medical care for her. She was dehydrated and from everything I could see, George did the majority of care for her, walking her back to the back of the plane, keeping her from falling again as she passed out a second time, checking her blood pressure, and putting an IV in and giving her fluids. Major Kudos to him! She was alert and sitting up by the time we got to the DFW airport.

We all ended up splitting up at the DFW airport and Scott and I were able to catch an earlier flight to Denver. I'll have to take a raincheck on catching dinner with you WhichWayUp and WhichWayDown!

Looking forward to another trip with this wonderful group of people!

I had a great buddy in ScubaClint on my last two dives! :o

Mighty courteous of ya. :D

This was my first SD trip and definitely not my last. I had a great time. As a diving newbie, I not only benefited from the Rent-a-Buddy program, but also from everyone on the dive boat. Everyone was quick to offer advice to both help my diving and make sure I was having a good experience. I had Kamala, Heidi and Sam as dive buddies, but also felt like I had a boat full of people looking out for me. A great group of diving friends.

I think you said that with your "outside" voice!!! Ok...Ok....I guess that's not a bad thing but would be better if we didn't have to come back.

Thanks Tom for being such a great dive buddy!! :o

I was a few rows back from where the girl hit the floor. George was up and at her side before I could even register what had happened. I agree completely - "One GREAT GUY."
