I have an extra bed which is reserved for The Wench. I have a large couch that could probably sleep 2 (Brad, you're welcome to it).

Assuming that was not a dig at my considerable girth (you KNOW how saaaansitive I am about that) :teeth: I am obliged for the roost, Mark. :diver: I promise not to sublet the extra space without expressed consent. :P See y'all tomorrow week!

Assuming that was not a dig at my considerable girth

That my couch can fit 2 is due to its length rather than its width . . . :wakawaka:

Are we still on for happy hour? Assuming the snow stays north of Atlanta, I'm heading over from Birmingham just after lunch tomorrow afternoon. I'm guessing it is going to be cold and rainy like it is here.

Looks like the frozen stuff is remaining fairly to the North of AL/GA. Plus the worst of the weather should have passed through by tomorrow afternoon. I plan to drive up mid afternoon (around 4PM) which should put me at the D&B a little before 7PM. See ya'll then!

What Brad said. It's looking like the real nasty stuff is going to stay north of the Atlanta Metro area. For those out-of -towners who want to come in early are welcome to hang at my place. PM for directions.

So what's the weather like? I am hoping I won't have any issues on my return flight from LA this afternoon.

I'm sorry but I'm going to bail for tonight. While it's not icy or anything over here, the combination of the rain and cold just make for a miserable drive acros I-20. Maybe next time the weather will be a little more cooperative. Y'all have fun!

The rain is gone, but it's still cloudy. I don't know how that will impact air traffic into Hartsfield.

Now don't be scaring me off...it will be my first drive outside of Seneca on my own. Yup...I haven't even been able to navigate to GSP yet, let alone Atlanta! I sure hope this HH is near the highway I'm coming in on since Bill is not driving me. :thankyou:

I sure hope this HH is near the highway I'm coming in on since Bill is not driving me. :teeth:

It's visible from I-85 (on the right as you are driving south), but unfortunately you have to drive well past the point where you should exit before you see it, since the adjacent interchange (Steve Reynolds Blvd) is a northbound-only exit.

My suggestion coming from your direction (and not being familiar with the area) is that you drive past Steve Reynolds (which you will most likely do anyways), note the D&B on the right, and then take the next exit, which is Beaver Ruin Rd. Turn left at Beaver Ruin, cross the interstate, and then get back on I-85 going north. Now you will see the D&B on your left -as you approach Steve Reynolds. Exit and turn left, and then you can probably navigate to it by sight at that point. It will be on the left just after you cross over I-85.

The distance between the two exits is only about a half mile, so you will not do much backtracking. Hope that helps.

Sadly, I am going to have to bail too. The rain is freezing on the roads here.
