This is Gracie:

http://www.flickr.co...ler/4328568547/

She's now about five years old and weighs 14 pounds. I'm pretty sure she's a Maine Coon, as she has all the attributes. Very decorative, but not the sharpest pencil in the box, cat-wise. She's the Hairiest Cat Ever, and from the Vernal until the Autumnal Equinoxes she sheds like a fiend.

I got her from a racing buddy's wife's parents--they got her as a kitten from a neighbor as a replacement cat, but the cat she was due to replace suddenly realized what was going on and displayed great displeasure, along with a renewed interest in life in general. They asked me if I wanted another cat to replace the 12 year old male I'd had since he was 5 weeks old (found on the Interstate in the median, and the best, smartest cat EVER, although he was from feral stock and completely mental), and I said sure.

If I didn't travel so much, I'd love to have a dog. A REAL dog. A DOG dog. But a cat is the perfect low maintenance pet who is good at feigning affection when it's really just looking for a warm place to hang out.
I'm growing older but not up,
My metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck.
Let those winds of time blow over my head,
I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead.

How could you not fall for that face.Ahhhhh.Chuck ,as you know there are Catitudes with attitudes or they just down right ignore us like we are the dullest pencil in the box.
