I am looking for someone to dive the Maldives with me. I have the master cabin reserved on Peter Hughes' Ocean Dancer. My travel dates: leave Nov 19, 2010 from Los Angeles to Singapore. Spend two nights in Singapore. I've planned a city tour and night safari for Sat, Nov 20, Sun morning leisure in Singapore and leave for Male the same day. Meet the Ocean Dancer on Sun Nov 21...7 night trip aboard this luxury boat, seeing some big fish like mantas and whale sharks. The total trip cost will be about $6500 including Singapore. I've already given a $1000 deposit and you will too if you decide to go (I can hook you up w/ my travel agent). I originally had a friend going but had to cancel. I'm an advanced diver and hope you are too. I'm going alone if I have to cause this will be a trip of a lifetime!! Post here only if you are seriously interested. Sure sounds like an interesting trip. Maybe post a few more details? Like when you need down payment, when you need full payment? Any other details u an share?

A $1,000 downpayment for Peter Hughes will be needed right away (I have given my $1k downpayment back in Dec). The full price of the airfare may be needed in about two weeks. A deposit for Singapore for about $200 or $300, and this will be needed once the airfare is confirmed and everything else. And perhaps a deposit on the Male hotel. The balance of everything else is in September.

Here's an excerpt from an e-mail from my travel agent for more details:
This trip cost is almost approximate but it will give you an idea for a start in order to place your ad: you will be staying two nights in Singapore. You leave Los Angeles and arrive two days later (because of change of time!), so basically having you leave Los Angeles on November 16, arrive in Singapore on the 18, stay in Singapore till the 20th then head to Male where you will have to stay one night. All flights arrive in Male late at night and that's why you need one night there.
Coming back you leave Male November 28 at 11:25PM

Boat: $2695
Port fee & tax: $121
Singapore portion 2 nights hotels and 1 private tour (city tour) and 1 group tour (night safari): $1,330 (this will be half if you are sharing with someone else)
Airfare no firm quote yet but count around $1600 to $1800 max
Hotel in the Maldive for one night is around $300+ for double room (here again you can share and pay half) I have asked them for a rate and should get an answer by tomorrow.
So your total is roughly around: $6000 to $6200
