So far, there are not a lot of firmed-up 2011 trips on the schedule. Where do our members want to go in 2011? Which locations should we be looking at that a good number of us want to go to (so we can fill the trip)? We need your input!

Currently on the upcoming 2011 schedule:
Save the Date Christmas to New years trip to Belize
Save the Date early February liveaboard to Saba, St. Kits, St. Eustacia & St. Maarten
Save the Date early March trip to Bonaire
Firm Date April trip to Truk/Palau
Firm Date Halloween trip to Cozumel

This is all that is on the trip schedule so far. What else do we want to do, & when? Please let us know what's in your dive budget for 2011, so we can get the research started.

I'll start.....I'd love to see either a liveaboard or resort-based trip diving the Cayman Islands, in May, June, July or August.

I'm awaiting Truk/Palau details before I can go further into other travel plans for 2011.

I am still looking at the Truk Palau trip but the airfare to do both is going to be very expensive so I am also looking at Komodo. Would love to have SD do a liveaboard there.

Probably will not do the Carib next year but most anywhere in the indo pacific would be of interest.

Add one more to that list. I am waiting on pricing for Truk / Palau. I will not know about any scheduling until I know if I will be doing that trip. Ed

What I am finding from here is that RT to Truk is $1700 ($400 more than when it went on sale back in May), but to add on Palau adds $400 more to $2100 RT on Continental.

I'd like to see the Florida liveaboard Easy Goin' on the schedule again. The Memorial day trip this year seemed to be popular.

I'll second that...I was just checking out the Aggressor website last week looking at the Cayman Islands itinerary and hoping someone would put together a group trip for this liveaboard in 2011.

Here's one to Manado-Lembeh this November http://www.singlediv...showtopic=20615

I've been looking at liveaboards to various areas of the Indonesian coral triangle for almost three years [a year prior to the Oct 2008 SD Wakatobi trip]. Whenever I've been able to check space availability, I find 'full boat charters' prevail, making individual space limited. Some of the liveaboards open their bookings 2 years in advance, which means decisions need to made and deposits paid far in advance. Currently, I'm in the preliminary planning stage for a trip to a Raja Ampat resort and a liveaboard component for October 2013.

I'll second that - I did my first ocean dive on eagle ray pass in Grand Cayman and would like to go back.

In order of interest.-All land based--perfered drift diving.

Sea of Cortez or down at Land's End, Mexico.---never been
Grand Turk---never been
Saba---never been

I would repeat to below.
Turk & Cacois
Utilla only if easy access to downtown.
Grenada
Roatan---west end
Grand Cayman only if at DiveTech, (CCR &Tec) resort for darkside divers, or possible Little Cayman (never been), down side IMO Cayman Is. very expensive.

Doing a solo to Tobago in Nov., I will report back.

If I had known about the Lembeh trip prior to T&C I would probably have gone for it but this year is booked up. I have a space hold on a Liveaboard out of Bali to Komodo next June if nothing else comes up.

I have not been able to find a connection to Palau from truk for anywhere near $400. The best fare I can come up with at this point from the west coast is over $3200.
