FYI, Just returned from Curacao on Sat Jan 22 and water temp was only 79-80 degress. I was chilled after 2 boat dives a day wearing a 1mil jumpsuit, fleece rash shirt, 2mil vest and beenie. I wished I packed my 3mil and or 5/4/3 suit. Some divers went in skins, DM's mostly in 3 and 5 mils. Be Advised!!

That means I'll probably need a 7mil.

I got a new short john from WetWear to keep me warm. That goes under my strechy Henderson 3 mil. I haven't seen water temp reports that indicate cooler conditions?

I am sad to announce that Lynn aka Lynnlchan will not be able to join us on our trip. See HERE for details and comments.

Susie aka Pacina will be taking her place! Susie is in the process of getting her docs done, payment made, and all the details worked out so may take awhile to post again on the site!

We are excited to have Susie join us and from the short time I spoke with her on the phone she sounds like an amazing lady so should fit in perfectly! :cheerleader:

VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE:

The following people still owe info to EV:

1. Melissa aka yachtagirl - application and waiver
2. Austin aka valmuse - EV needs you to fax your medical/doctor's release to them.
3. AnnaMaria aka shark maiden - EV needs your hotel info where you are staying before the start of the trip.

We/EV needs this info asap or you will risk your trip at this point of the game.

Water temps are 79-80.

That's what they always say LOL, but really I do get cold after a couple of dives so intend to wear short john onboard. Besides I won't scare the others that way~

Packing Packing Packing. I can never fit the entire scuba kit into a single 50# bag!!!

You'll know when I board the boat because it will lean from the heavy bags.

Pre-trip rush is starting. Yee Haaa!

How tough are they on overweight bags? I am flying American then one of the regionals. Maybe I will just pay the overweight fee? I got scuba plus camera gear and have gone over 50 in the past.

American will usually allow you a pound or 2 over the 50lbs limit,,,and then start charging you...you should read their baggage allowance and charges on their website...I think 70lbs is where they start telling you that you can't check your bag

as for me...I have a bag for my dive gear that weighs 2lbs, so I pack my wetsuits on the outside and my backplate on the other side to protect my gear;

regs, computers, lights all go into my carry on luggage
