We have been offline but we haven't been gone. We ran afoul of some (unscheduled) security updates and maintenance procedures on our webhost's server starting last Friday. This activity was completely incompatible with our software so we were down for a while. They worked on it all week and so did we. Ultimately, we found a server that suited us well and, since we were down anyway, we decided to take the opportunity to upgrade our software. We think you will like it. The general feel is better, it's easier to use, and it's way easier to maintain.

We also brought online a new electronic payment script. This script allows us to send receipts for payments and generates a transaction number so we can track it and refer to the payment if there is a question. You will see a purple link at the top of every page that says "Make a Trip or Merchandise Payment." Click on that link and it will take you to the payment form. You are now never more than scrollbar away from the payment form!!!

Soon we will have trip online surveys and trip signup's as well but this is a work in progress.

You will notice that the homepage looks... hmmm.... different. That's because our old page was being managed in a system that is not compatible with our new software. The current page is temporary until we can either fix our old system or get a new content management system. So there are some more changes on the way. There are some other features to the new software that we are evaluating and may make some other rollouts in the near term. Right now though our goal is to fix the little things that this transition has given us to work on. We think the big stuff is done and now it's little tweaks.

As you can see we've directed your comments on the new site to THIS THREAD!!! We'll share the changes we've made with you and you can share your feedback with us! Also pls ask questions on how to do things...as the site has a lot of new features (with more coming in the next few weeks) and some of the changes are intuitive but a few may need a little explaining.

Our awesome IT Gurus are busy creating a "What's New and How You Do It" FAQ which will be linked from this thread and the main announcement thread for your convenience. Special thanks to Brad aka dive_Sail_etc and Simon aka Shadragon for taking the lead on this invaluable tool!

Yep...I can't find that picture of you wearing your shorts backward to tease you with! Never fear, it'll come out of hiding sooner or later or you could go diving again and we'll stage a do over for photo op.

Another vote for the new look. Just takes some getting used to. As for the backwards shorts...... I have no idea what you are talking about, no photo = didn't happen.

I was on that trip, don't have a photo but it was definitely one of the funnier moments on a dive boat!

I haven't been on in some time, partly because I use a Blackberry and the old site really was cumbersome on the Blackberry. This is significantly better.

I'm not a power user but the new site seems to be very functional on mobile Safari (iPhone).

Great work under pressure, by the way; forced upgrades are often painful.
