Sept 3-10, 2011 will be Mayaguana with Explorer Ventures!!! Its true, the boat will have the details worked out and we will be one of the first trips!

AND we are looking at Sept 10-17 as a possible T&C land based trip for about $1000 for the week.

I'm still at DEMA but I got this locked in late yesterday so wanted to get it posted so you can save the dates!!

We won't have the smoking deal as we did for T&C in 2010...SEE BELOW FOR PRICING...we will have some early booking discounts but the new destination is TOTALLY worth it!!!

When I dove Mayaguana with Nekton I felt like the early sea explorers....seeing things NO ONE HAD EVER SEEN BEFORE!!! And this time the water will be WARM!!!

Like to hunt for lionfish? Sadly they are rampant but we'll offer clinics on how to hunt them safely as well as clinics on the dangers of lionfish.

So start letting us know if you want to be one of first people to dive this new destination. When we dove it before we were sub 200 people in the world to see what we were seeing and they only had one trip after us.

We are also looking at doing either a 3 day 2 nite or 7 day 5 nite pkg in Turks and Caicos since we will fly in and out of PLS. Who is interested in a week or part of in T&C? (Price is estimated to about $1000 for 3 boat dives daily, hotel and breakfast for a week.) We could do this as a STANDALONE TRIP or you could add it to the Mayaguana trip. The dates would be Sept 10-19, 2011.

This will be a certain nitrox venue but there will be no limits on the nitrox. So who wants to join me???

IMPORTANT PRICING UPDATE (TRIP STILL NOT OPEN FOR BOOKING BUT YOU CAN LOCK IN AIRFARE):

In order for people to better plan and/or snatch up early airline deals I have been working on pricing for the trip. The good news is the boat will not charge an add'l fuel premium other than the one currently in affect for T&C charters. The bad news is that we won't be able to offer the same smoking deals we offered for T&C last year. So pricing will be as follows and we'll offer at least a $100 discount off the trip if you pay in full the first week we open it up for booking. Note that we allow our premier members a full 7 days *first dibs* booking of all our trips so you'll want to be a premier member to qualify for the discount AND to ensure you get a spot on the trip. (Plus you'll get $25 of the annual $35 back if you file for it after the trip.)

Mayaguana (Bahamas) - via flights to/from Providencials, Turks & Caicos Islands & boat crossing 40 miles away to Mayaguana. (The same as Nekton did when they were in business and set up this destination.)

Please add me to the list! With so many destinations out there, it's difficult to consider a re-do, but Mayaguana is the one Caribbean destination I would consider! The topography is amazing.

Hanging on the line and "riding the swing" was one of my favorite parts!

AND for those interested we can set this up to be a week in Mayaguana and a week in Turks and Caicos land pkg. This gives you a chance to dive two amazing locations for the same airfare!

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

1. All the dives will be pretty deep meaning 70ft or more to see the wall...you can get 55-60 ft if you stay on top of the wall but a lot of it looks like 'regular' Caribbean diving but NOT the spectacular diving this venue offers.

So nitrox is REALLY recommended! (There are no cf100's so now is a good time to start working on improving your air/gas consumption!)

2. As mentioned before is anyone interested in a back to back week in T&C? We will fly into the T&C airport so it would be one week on the boat and 1 week on land. We are looking at a 3 dive a day pkg with hotel and breakfast for about $1000.
