I am currently working on Barbados for June or BVI...British Virgin Islands.

Both have good diving and the plan is for a great deal! I'm looking at about June 18-25 timeframe so our teachers can be fully out of school and ready to go diving! :teeth:

I'll keep you posted...hope to have this locked in within a week or so!

I'll do my best to get some video uploaded and linked of my recent trip. Barbados was a great diving vacation spot with lots of non diving tours and nightlife!!

Yeah! June 18th to 25th...now we're talking! I guess being an accountant is one step above being a teacher when it comes to finding an SD trip that fits into the work schedule. Was beginning to think I might get shut out in 2011.

Without any of the details, my vote would go to BVI.

Great Matt! There is a remote chance our Single's Week in Roatan will fall in June THIS year but for sure its what we are teeing up for 2012 as an annual. I'll keep in mind it needs to be mid/late-ish June to avoid end of month, first of month and end of quarter if at all possible.

Basically its a TIMING & PRICING issue. Gotta find a GREAT DEAL and good timing!

Here's my video from Barbados Sept '10, Lots of turtles, good reefs and wrecks, all drift diving. Nice friendly island with night life, land tours and modern transit system.

Right now flights to EIS (British Virgin Islands) are running $877. Barbado OTOH is about $453. Depending on the difference in the price of the trip, that might be a deciding factor.

You will get 2 Barbados dollar for 1 USD, BVI uses the USD. I hear BVI is expensive.

I got certified in Barbados in '04. The cool thing about Barbados is you don't need to walk more than 20 feet or so to find the next bar, there is one (albeit a tiny one) on every corner. I stayed at Sandy Beach Resort, and walking to St Laurence Gap would take me an hour or so for the 1/4 mile trip due to all the stops I had to make.

Yes St Lawance Gap is a FUN area. I stayed about 2 mile away, a easy walk going, more difficult returning. But they have a awesome transit system. Private taxi = most expensive, Public bus= 1.50USD o/w, Island bus= .75USD o/w. Also the hotels and bars Do have HAPPY HOURS!!!! The Friday nite fish fry in Olisten even better.
