IMPORTANT UPDATE:

We are getting into the home stretch of this trip. Be watching this thread for ALL the final updates! To start the ball rolling please read below:

1. SCHOOL SUPPLIES: Don't forget your school supplies...we'll be giving them to a much needed group of deserving children on the island.

2. ROOMS FOR EXTRA TRANSIT NIGHTS: I am making final hotel reservations for those needing rooms in SJU and MIA both inbound and out. IF YOU HAVE A ROOM ALREADY PLEASE LET US KNOW SO WE DO NOT DUPLICATE A RESERVATION FOR YOU!

3. EXTRAS: Its time to settle all extras such as the whale watching, etc.

4. NIGHT DIVES: The resort offers a boat night dive for $25 extra plus one of your afternoon dives. In speaking to a number of people they RAVE about the shore night diving which is only 20ft and BEAUTIFUL at night. So rather than try to get enough people together to do the boat night dive, we will just allow people to do the fabulous shorediving for night dives!

5. DOCUMENTS: Please get your documents into us asap. Otherwise you may not like your rooming arrangements or will be delayed doing extra paperwork on the trip. SD is run entirely by volunteers so please do not burden them with tracking you down to do your documents.

what is the dive shop setup? Are there dive lockers and will we need to carry our gear to the boat everyday? Trying to decide which dive bag to bring

With Tammy traveling out of country right now it seems that 2 members did not give us their flight details or they sent them to Tammy after she left. So PLEASE send them to kamala@singledivers.com asap so I can ensure you have airport pick ups. If not then you will be on your own to take taxi to the hotel unless you happen to be arriving with group and we can get you on the shuttle.

IMPORTANT DIVE GEAR HANDLING UPDATE:

what is the dive shop setup? Are there dive lockers and will we need to carry our gear to the boat everyday? Trying to decide which dive bag to bring

1. Do you have individual gear lockers? No, we have an equipment room with racks. The entire room is locked. Our guests have 24/7 access to this room.
2. Do divers need locks for the lockers? no
3. How do the divers handle gear cleaning and storage? All this will be explained when they arrive. Storage is in the equipment room. All have access to this. They handle wet suits, camera and camera equipment. Everything else, our staff takes care of. Our staff load and off-load and store our clients’ equipment.
