It must be somewhere near the Philippines as I saw nearly every critter in these pics there. I am interested but I need to know soon as to what the destination is because I need to pull the trigger on another trip in the next two days....

Funny George... but YES I've seen ALL of these critters in Lake Jocassee....very very very deep!

Bummer Tammy.... I can try for LATE April and possibly early May as Easter is 8th of April and Mother's Day is May 13th. Would that work?

Still leaves me Feb open but maybe we should skip Feb (if I can get April/May)???

Looks really similar to my Wakatobi pictures. So my guess would be somewhere in Indonesia.

Rule of work says I am required to be at my desk on the first day of every month, regardless what day of the week it is. This is why I cannot take any of your trips that include the first day of the month.

I also have to space my vacation time out....again, with no assistant, it takes forever to catch up after being gone, so I can't do it too frequently. Being limited to only March-September for time off makes it that much harder for me to plan.

I'm only one member out of many. Make the trip work for the majority.

Feb or April would work. Depending on where it is. The water temps in the Philippines in Feb are pretty cold. So I would rather it be later than earlier just for that reason.

Thank you Jim. April is as late as I can push it since we have a trip in May already for 2012 to Dominica. I could overlap the first part of May but that does not help Tammy. And apparently that messes up Dominica for her as well since the Sat to Sat trip runs May 26 to June 2nd and Friday is June 1st so she can't claim that it falls on a weekend.

Well the place IS Indonesia but Indonesia covers many great diving places....



The answer I was looking for was Lembeh Straits!!!


However the REAL ANSWER WAS.... Who would like to dive there???? (And are you sure you can only dive there in April???)


p.s. I took all the pictures myself without a strobe and ONLY the internal flash of my camera. Now THAT is cool...even very amateur photographers can get great shots and the critters are EVERYWHERE!!!

AIR CONTRACT:


If we set up an air contract here is an idea of pricing and routing. Note that you can also choose to do air on your own. Feb is usually cheaper than April. I will have quotes for April by tomorrow if I can secure an April date with the resort. (Its pretty tough avoiding Easter and avoiding our PNW Show Dates but I'm trying.)

An air contract will need 10 pax minimum and depends were everyone is starting from but we can book as a group out of JFK or LAX or any particular city. We can also book people as individuals if they do not want to book their own flights as they sign up including add-on cities as long as the contract fares are available. We need “M” on SQ and “Y” on MI for the lowest price.

Below is the itinerary out of JFK. Flights route through Frankfurt, Germany.


SQ 25M on 17FEB JFK/FRA/SIN 900P 650A (land on 19FEB)

MI 274Y on 20FEB SIN/MDC 925A 105P

MI 273Y on 27FEB MDC/SIN 150P 505P

SQ 26M on 27FEB SIN/FRA/JFK 1155P 1045A (land on 28FEB)



We don’t have 2012 rates as of yet. If they offered the same fare as Feb 2011 then your net would be $790 + $710 tax = $1,500 pp NET. Note: Tax is subject to change until purchased. If fares are going up we estimate about 10%.
