IMPORTANT TRIP UPDATES:

1. The private forum is open HERE. You have been sent the password via pm or email. If you did not get it pls email trips@singledivers.com for the email.
2. By now everyone should have their flight details except for Doris who may not be able to check emails so I will call her with her details as well. If you did not get your local flight e-tickets please let me know asap.
3. Don't forget your school supplies for the orphanage.
4. Certain snacks are hard to find if they are even available on the island. So bring them with you if you really want them. (And if you bring enough we can share them at our daily happy hours or on the boat!

This will probably be my last update but PLS continue to check the site in case we have add'l updates we need to share.

Since I will be the first to arrive, How do I find people?

Several people are arriving on the 25th but you are the only one arriving the 24th. I will post the flight arrival times for everyone on the trip in the private forum coming to you soon.

Currently you have 2 days of relaxation until the group arrives. If you want me to set up some diving for you I can work to do that. Otherwise you can catch up on z's and rays and maybe a good book or some local sight seeing.

Peter was looking to meet up with you and can find you at the hotel or give you his local Belize number so you can try to reach him when you are there He also is very internet centric so you can contact him via the site as well.

When you arrive at San Pedro Airport look for a sign saying your name or SingleDivers or just ask a taxi to take you to the BLue Tang Hotel. The hotel will pay for the taxi when you arrive if a prepaid one was not set up yet. You'll have a couple of days to scope out the local grocery stores and restaurants. Great info for your fellow divers!

Thanks for the information. I look forward to meeting Peter. I don't try to set up any diving, I can do that myself if I feel like it. I'll se what the weather looks tlike and what the locals maybe doing for the holiday or just hang out at the hotel. I don't try to plan everything in advance. See you on the 26th.

Seth I have no idea. I can try to find out but I'm not sure where to start.

all i need is to get in touch with the tower or if there isnt one a the owner of the taxi service aka pudle jumpers eithier can clear me to land and store my plane

If you want to fly into Belize you MUST first go to the International Airport (BZE) to clear formalities. They CANNOT be done in San Pedro, though that may well change in the future. If you can fly direct from the USA without landing in Mexico or anywhere else (eg. for fuel) then you can simply arrive with all the correct documentation (including insurance valid in Belize), but for the time being you cannot then fly to San Pedro, but must park up at BZE and continue your journey commercially. Again, that may well change later in the new year.

If you have to stop in Mexico on the way down then you must have received permission to enter Belize at least 48 hours before entering Belize.

Great news! Its actually check in instructions and I was most worried about Ed. The Arrivals of everyone is in the private forum in the doc containing the flight details!

No worries Fran...before and during a trip we use this thread. After the trip we use the THIS trip report thread so others can share in all our fun. And we still of course use the private forums to share emails etc and to SEE all the fun we have a special trip photo gallery HERE.
