Hey gang...we looked a few options for NYE 2013 but have not found the right destination.
Liveaboards will run from Dec 29 to Jan 5th. Liveaboards are nice since they are same price all year round even on a holiday. They are not so desirable when they involve extra days of vacation to make them work.
We looked at the new EV Destination Chinchorro for this timeframe but while they are running this week...we did not get much positive response to this date.
So many people need something that will run Dec 26- Jan 2nd. That means land based which usually means higher pricing on the resort as well as the air.
One resort that would not charge us a premium for New Year's is Divi in Bonaire. However we have a bunch of Bonaire Regulars who would like to see the trip in the Spring rather than NYE so that did not fly either.
So let us know WHERE you want to go for NYE...
1. Roatan (Maybe put the Single's Week there???
2. No Trip at all this year
3. Another destination...

My work is closed over the winter break, so I am in general interested in any trips that week.
As a random tidbit, I have not been on many dive trips at all, but I did like Akumal, MX for cheap prices and a really nice dive shop. We stayed at Vista del Mar (family reunion) and I used Akumal Dive Shop. All the dives were 5 minutes by boat. The hotel/condos had a small dive shop also. And, the fish tacos are awesome there. Cheap Cancun flights. But the town itself is tiny, felt very safe and laid back, no big nightlife or partying. Lots of expats own homes there. Just two beautiful bays and tons of turtles.

I will already be in South Florida for Xmas, so anything around there would be great! (easy to get to from Miami would be a close second)
