I think this looks a lot like the UV light the divemaster had on the night dive we did though I didn't get a great look at it at the time. I thought $600 seemed a bit much. I may ask Santa for one of my very own :teeth:

Yep....sounded high to me too! Oh well you live and learn and check the internet!! Ha!! It was an awesome night dive for me and I never got to "see the light" (pun intended) :teeth:

The lights are REALLY expensive...Dive Tech spent over $900 each for them when they got them. They have also found out that extended use can hurt the animals so they are supposed to only leave them on for 5 mins at a time.

Not sure given the impact they make that buying one is a great idea. Too little time for the buck.

however I do wish to see one soon...bummed I could not make the night dive.

I ran down in time for the last shot but not sure whose camera it was. I still can't believe my dive buddy didn't realize I wasn't there! :-D:P

Who wants to be famous?

Well at least in my eyes!!! :respect:

We have been asked to submit a copy of our rrip report for publication in a dive magazine. How :ccool1:

I however can not do it with the crazy upcoming travel schedule so would like to open it up to one of our members to do it. Or maybe several of you.

Please let me know if you can do this or would like to do it! :wakawaka:

Here goes my attempt at a trip report.

The dives in the morning started out on a deep reef with sand channels and canyons that ended at the wall. My depths were in the 80-100fsw range for the first dive. All the sites were similar but each had unique features. The second site each morning was a bit closer to shore and averaged 45-65 fsw these were great for macro life but turtles abounded on most of these sites. In the afternoon the two boat dives I did were the artificial reef ship the Kittiwake that made for some very cool photo ops, and Stingray city. Stingray city was the best 15foot dive ever!! The interaction with the rays was such an uplifting experience.

On one afternoon I paid for a rebreather experience. I got to dive an Inspiration rebreather on the reef just off the dock. it turned into 50 feet for an hour and 5 minutes. I used 400psi of air out of a 13cuft tank on the dive and that was used for the wing and volume in the breathing loop. It would take some getting used to. But I swam up on several fish that looked startled that they didn't hear me coming.

On another add on dive I paid for was a guided dive to 160 feet for 20 minutes. it yielded a run time of 59 minutes until all our computers were clear and an hour and 9 minutes total dive time. It was a very cool dive. Very quiet, tranquil dive. There is a HUGE barrel sponge at 150fsw that was 6feet tall and it would take three people to get our arms around it.

Friday Morning I saw and got some good photo's of my first Eagle rays and the second dive the current was up a bit so we did it as a drift dive. Great dive! 4 turtles, a free swimming 5 foot green Moray eel and lots of fish life.

Great start! Now let's add info on where we stayed and how we like them and who we dove with and how we like them and we'll have the basis of a great dive report. We need to also add something about the great group you dove with too! ;)

p.s Assume whoever is reading your report has never heard of Cobalt Coast, Dive Tech or SingleDivers.com Well at least one for sure they have probably never heard of so share a bit about each one to flesh out your report. :cool1:

I am happy to report that my very first dive trip was an exceptional experience. Although I showed up with no dive experience whatsoever, everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome and included. I never once felt inadequate or that I didn't belong. So a big thank you to everyone in the group for making this such a remarkable first trip for me, I could not have had a more positive experience. A special thank you to Kamala and Jerry, my dive buddies, for your feedback and patience, it meant a great deal to me. You are a wonderful group of people and I feel privledged to have been able to share this with you.

Here is what I posted on Trip Advisor for Divetech....Maybe not exactly what you need, but could be added in somewhere. :)

“Friendly, Organized, and Unstoppable Service!”

I just spent a week diving with Divetech at Cobalt Coast. I was very happy with the service of this dive op. They were friendly, funny, organized and most of all SAFE! Wind nor rain stopped Divetech from showing customers a great time. They were in touch and new what to expect and where to go to provide us with great, safe diving. The pre dive briefings were detailed and thorough....complete with colorful drawings. :-) Definately a great crew that worked well together to make my dive vacation special and something to remember!!

Hi everyone. I had a fantastic time with everyone and look forward to diving with each of you again soon. I'm working on a revised trip report after WW's critique of my first attempt. OH by the way, I know there are more pictures out there a lot better than mine of the trip. If you can put them up the rest of us would like to see them. Thanks again to all for a great trip!!

Jerry
