My youngest grandson, Conner, age 14 months is currently in surgery to remove a useless thumb & construct a new thumb for him out of his forefinger. He's been in the operating room for about an hour & the surgery is expected to last another 2-3 hours. Please say a prayer for him & his parents, Morgan & Eric today. Thank you.

Thank you all for your prayers & thoughts. I just spoke to my daugher & Conner is out of surgery & in the Recovery Room. All went well but he is in a great deal of pain & has been given some morphine to combat it. My daughter & son (in law) send their thanks for your prayers also. We all are believers in the power of prayer....

Just spoke to my daugher, Morgan. Conner has woken up a few times & is doing well. If all goes as expected, he will be going home tomorrow. He'll be in a cast for 2 weeks, they'll check the stitches & replace it for another 4 weeks. All I can say is thanks to you all & if you're ever looking for a truly worth-while charity, please consider Shriner's Hospitals- they performed the surgery & will be providing all the post-op care, including rehab, for free.
