I went to Anilao Philippines in May of this year. The diving was amazing. Super healthy reefs, fab muck diving. No big stuff but stunning coral and diversity. Stayed at the Crystal Blue Resort. Very nice place. Not fancy but they had a very well set up dive op and the food was good. I have been diving for a long time, these days I prefer not to go to the same place more than once because there are a lot of places I still want to see but I would go back to Anilao.

I was with Jim on that trip to Anilao, and I agree that area is fantastic. It has a nice combination of reef and muck diving, and the critters are amazing.

I've been look at the Philippines very closely. Feb/Mar can be chilly or so they say. I need to verify as we certainly wish to add this as a possibility for Truk in 2014 if not this fall.

Temps in February are typically about 77-78 degrees. It has been as cold as 75 degrees and as warm as 79. That is the water.
