I've been flyin Continenal fairly regularly into the carribean getting use to the globe logo and now I'm back with United that I used to use for west coast travel. I wonder if I have and remaining flight miles with United and which terminal I'll fly out of in Boston, terminal A or C or both.

Advise you check with United for info on whose gates they will use from your gateway airport.

My understanding was you had to request to have both sets of miles combined under the number you used the most. In my case I only had CO miles so my old CO# is my new United Number.

I would contact United and ask them to combine the miles anyway. I'm sure they will still honor them.

As for where they fly out of...in my local airport they are using BOTH of the gates they used to use to cover the flights. If the vol is sufficient they will probably do the same with you.

I only had United miles and I got a new alpha-numeric ff number. It was my understanding through reading the stuff on the United side that they would combine accounts and all miles are valid. In fact I got a positive adjustment in lifetime miles flown because CO counted them differently. I assumed that was an automatic thing but as I think about it how would they know which two accounts to combine? They could do pretty good by comparing demographics but I'll bet Wenchie is right you would have to request that they do that. I know they promised they would all be valid assuming they did not expire.

I had used up all of my Continental miles but when they combined the programs they took away my United FF mileage number that I knew by heart and instead used my old Continental number. I guess that was their nod to the passing of Continental, but I'm not thrilled with it.
