Its sad that people feel this way and would even sing such a tasteless song about the hurt someone feels when they have broken off a relationship they obviously wanted to work out. One can only surmise that you have either broken up with your new g/f or still wish ill to your last one(s).

So I'll pray for you too... however I'll do it the traditional way and pray that you find the peace we all seek and need in our lives and the strength to let bygones be bygones and to let the past go.

We can not control what happens to us...but we can control how we let it affect us. you are successful in the journey.

And please before you all explain this was a joke as evidenced by the fact that it was put in the Joke and Funnies forum on our site... we have a great deal of people who at any given time are in pain for many reasons...one of which is a broken relationship.

So this type of humor in my opinion is simply not funny. Sorry...

Thanks for the prayers, but I am already completely at peace. You also guessed wrong about my motives. No breakups here or wishing anyone ill - I just have a twisted sense of humor. A divorcing friend shared it with me and I thought it was funny.

I love that song and play it a few times a week at work. Crowd always sings along. No matter how secure and happy you are with yourself there is going to be a point in every breakup where this song will hit a cord or two. Even if you don't mean it. It's supposed to be more tongue in cheek than anything.

Like the classic line.... My ex has me thinking about suicide, I just can't figure out how to get her to do it. ;)
Never saw the video though. thanks.

I completely agree with Hawkeye!!! I love this song and have always thought it was hilarious. I can't tell you how many times I've had thoughts like these about my ex. I think that not only is it healthy, but it can help us keep a sense of humor in the dark times. I used my anger at my son's dad and channeled it to do the positive things that I wouldn't have had the energy to do otherwise. We have an excellent relationship now in order to co-parent our son, but my opinion of him hasn't changed much...

I have mixed emotions about this song! I couldn't help laughing the first time I realized what it was saying!! The *shock* effect!! LOL!

I do believe in God and although I'm not what I should be, I still have a great respect for my Lord! I won't get all religious on you, BUT I have to tell this story.

When I was getting divorced, my Pastor found out and came up to me to pray with me. It was a prayer NOT UNLIKE this song!! Talk about a Shock!! Till this day, I don't know how I felt about it.
Handle every stresssful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
Just pee on it and walk away.

Just goes to show you...different strokes for different folks. I can see the humor in the song and as Ellen says...in the moment it just may hit the spot..but I still think it too over the top for those who truly do believe in and need the power of prayer.
