Jenny, me returning to shore to avoid a surface swim while you continued hunting
for sea shells (after me signaling return to shore) seems to be something your having trouble getting past ? I hope you didn't feel too endangered in the 16 ft. waters. Jenny, we both may chose our own buddies and I really don't take it personally, there are plenty of buddies out there for both of us.....we can still be friends !

Kevin,

You are missing Walter's point. I did some research on the Hydro myself. I personally draw a line at approximately 130 ft. for tri-mix myself. I have done EAN26/Air deeper. I am not proud of myself for doing it and I followed my dive plans to the letter when I did it and did nothing wrong. But, I have done dives in training and gotten narced fairly to a pretty decent extent. I would have to safely say that your judgement (hence, your buddy skills) will be worse than you think at 120 ft. or deeper. This is why most deep divers are trained to be relatively self sufficient. Your buddy may not be there for you. You may not be capable of being there for them. This is especially true on air. Please get the training to do this right before you try to dive a wreck with a 170 ft. to the sand.

From what I have heard, this may be a "goal" wreck for you, much as the Empress or the Doria would be for me. I may be ready for them some day but not now.

Consider that from a wreck diver who would like to see the participants in his sport last a long time. Besides, getting the skills to do a tri-mix class can't hurt you. Right?

Respectfully,

Brian

Gee Kevin that's not how I remember it.

However, you are correct, there are plenty of buddies around for both of us, and yes, we still can be friends.
