Checkout dive for tomorrow cancelled.... for the second time! :dltears:
The weather up here is really annoying. We have has a beautiful week, then dive day comes and the rain starts, the winds pickup, West 20-25kts, gusts 30kts and small craft advisory. Grrrrrrrrrr

Hey Dan,

Sorry about that, but better to have the dive cancelled if the conditions are not favorable then running into trouble.

Dan,

Linda is correct. You've learned a very good lesson.
No single raindrop believes it is responsible for the flood.

Oh, we wait until the seas are at least 6 to 8 feet before we go in. Makes for a real challenge getting back in the boat.

Yes, we will wait until a nicer day comes along, just getting a little frustrated is all. I'll go out with friends for lunch today instead and watch some football.

Hang in there! As others have mentioned, it's the right thing for the dive shop to do, but it is frustrating to get pumped up for a check out dive and then have it canceled (or to have any dive canceled for that matter). What was that old irritating saying that my mother used to say... good things come to those......who wait?
