The GoPro material was amazing!! Still sorting through all of it. The video cam out great and I was actually really impressed with the quality of the stills. I did play around with settings quite a bit shifting from the usual wide angle settings for both video and stills to more narrow or medium angle settings.
Red filter is a MUST! Depending on the type of filter a light can add a lot. Sometimes i removed the filter and used the flood light function from the sola for up close shooting, other times at shallower depths or higher light levels just used a shallow depth red filter, at deeper depths were the target wasn't up close I used a deep red filter. I put together a great little compact package setup that had both filters, a small plate, arm, with the sola. (which incidentally i designed with boltsnaps that attach perfectly to a hip D-ring and chest D-ring so it's perfectly stowed away when not being used tight and close to the body) It performed great!!! Kamala I think is going to deal the component parts!!
/>Jose!
How was the GoPro experience? Have any photos/video to post? I just got one and this will be a lot of experimenting. Do you use a red filter? Were lights necessary?
