I've puked all over the relief band.

:welcome: terrible image, but hilarious none-the-less! :lmao:

It gets better...I was off the boat and parasailing when I actually got sick :P

I also have suffered with seasickness most of my diving career. The patch used to work, but it always seemed to be overkill with the side affects being worse than the seasickness. None of the other medications or remedies seemed to work. However, I recently started taking the tablet form of Scopolamine (the medicine in the patch, available by prescription only) and have had great success with it. You can vary the dosage to match the conditions or your personal reactions to the medicine. I know folks who are helped with half a pill, while others (like me) will take two pills if the conditions appear to be rough. The other nice thing about it for me is that I don't have to take it the night before, I only need to take it at least 30 minutes before departing. I still do most of the other things talked about in this thread (stay above, look at the horizon, avoid fumes, light diet, etc.), but in my case the Scop pills have been a blessing.

Hey Scott, It's called Scopace in the pill form. There was an article about it in DAN's Alert Diver mag around Jan/Feb or Mar/Apr '04. I took the magazine in with me and my doc said I was the second person in less than a month to bring in the same article. The pharmacist actually knew more about it than my doc, though. LOL

I took it while on the OH II in Palau and had no problems with drowsiness and things like Benadryl usually wipe me out, so maybe you will have success as well. Good luck!
I tried to contain myself, but I escaped!

Hi Jennifer, do they have different strengths?

My doctor was out today and on the internet i could only find the .04 Scopace.

By the way how did you like Palau? I have gone for the last 6 years and i love it.
:thankyou: Scott
