I understand the American dollar is widely accepted in the Maldives.  Just a comment: My torn or worn out US bills were generally not accepted by vendors in other parts of the world.  Of course, I don't know if that would be the case in the Maldives, but I'd bring crisp, new or nearly new bills just in case a shopping opportunity arises.

Usually US dollars or euros will be accepted BUT not old torn bills. Or those that have any marks or writing on them, Thanks for the reminder

Hi,
I have faxed the EV forms as asked and will be following up with the insurance company in the morning to make sure it covers specific recompression treatment. I am certain it covers $1 million in transport to facility needed and $250,000 for things considered an emergency treatment but I will double check as it is required.
SassySeaTurtle (Nadley)

I will have an updated list from the boat later today. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get these forms in as soon as possible. Thank you, Kamala

NOTE: You can be denied boarding without these forms and they NEED THEM FOR CUSTOMS CONTROL PRIOR TO THE TRIP.

HI KAMALA!

I hv not been able to get into the PM thread for the Maldives Trip  so

I still can not find the name of the Hotel you booked for our 3/5  trip.

I arrive MLE on 3/5 @ 9:45 AM & was hoping NOT to be stuck at the airport til 2:30 PM.

Will the "Carpe Guys"  be gathering folks up somewhere else?

If I take a taxi to the dock,  WHICH ONE IS IT?

Also, if poss, pls bring a Safety Sausage like I got from you before.

If you tell me the price I can mail you a check.

I MAILED in my Explorer Venture forms & will bring you a copy & one for the boat.           THANKS SO MUCH!

Hello all....I may be losing my mind but I just realized that I kind of need a room in Doha on the 15th since my flight to Atlanta doesn't leave until the morning of the 16th. Is anyone else staying in Doha that would like a roomie for the day? And/or is booking a room there one of the buffer day options? Thanks!!!

According to what I see on the "flights" thread you are the only one on that flight.  It does look like Jennifer aka ItsScubaJen is on the same airline but leaving at 8:20pm so she might need a roomie.  You could send her a PM to see.

Hello Rachel, due to the tight time constraint I am stepping in to Quote your post which generates an email notice. See Butch aka CajunDiver's recommendation in the post immediately above this one - her refers you to the Maldives Forums's "Flights" topic, and suggests you might wish to use the Private Message (PM) feature to reach out to Jennifer aka ItsScubaJen who may need a roommate.

I suggest you contact Sandy aka scubapunk via PM for her recommendation, as the trip TC she is the focal point for arrangements such as this particularly since Kamala is already over there and more difficult to reach. Good Luck! :diver:
