So....first time diving Florida. I know Jupiter requires full suit, gloves, booties and hat. Do we need all these layers for the other dive boats and shore? Any other recommendations of gear or clothing other than the typical list?

No, the dive charters other than Emerald (Jupiter) will not be shark encounters (though of course a stray reef shark or nurse shark fly-by is pretty common all along the South Florida Atlantic coast) so we are free to wear whatever we prefer in the water. I personally expect to be be diving the other charters wearing swim trunks, being one who tends to find suits and even skins a bit restrictive and the water temps in August delightfully warm. Hope this helps! :diver:

Sharon we show you arriving in Palm Beach International (PBI) around 5PM 25 August. We will arrange ground transportation for you with a shuttle service the Doubletree hotel operates to that airport. If there are any last minute issues or changes we will contact you by the cell number you provided in the General Information Form. As always, if an issue or delay comes up on your end you can always reach Kamala at 864-557-6079.

Let us know here or via trips@singledivers.com if you have any other questions, and see you soon! :diver:

Kamala or Brad,

How are we working the tips for diving crew?  Since its 3 operators, are we tipping daily, or at the end of week?

Brian

Brian

Great question Brian! Typically Kamala collects tips/donations from all trip attendees and presents the collected sum to the crew on the last day. In the case of Florida 2017 that means every other day for the full time trip attendees. Kamala will also manage the day trip attendees individually (and probably ask me to help her, as it can be a bit time consuming).

I am sure Kamala will go over this at the Happy Hour Friday night as well.
