FLIGHT INFO FOR ALL ASPECTS OF THE RED SEA TRIP IF DOING THE "TRANSFER TO THE BOAT" PACKAGE NOTE: This itinerary is via JFK because the bulk of the people doing the TRANSFER pkg live in the DC area I have requested to see if we can run this via IAD instead. We are verifying the air and final pricing since it will require an extra night in Cairo BUT you can join the group for the last 1.5 day of our touring including the Giza / Pyramids and (1) museum tour before heading to the boat:
Our Flights are locked in and we will be requesting confirmation of your legal passport names if we do not have them already. The best news is there has been NO price increases to our flight if you were on our original manifest and/or you were one of the 4 people I added to our contract because you were originally flying on alternate flights. NOTE: If you are FILLING a spot from someone who has to cancel we can get you on those flights.
Flights fall into 4 categories:
- Domestic US to JFK (possibly IAD) Jun 15, 2021 Arrive early and hang out at TWA inconic Hotel/Museum/Food etc- YOU BOOK THIS (Or we can book for $35)
- International JFK (possibly IAD) to Egypt IF DOING THE "TRANSFER TO THE BOAT" PACKAGE: Jun 15, 2021 - WE BOOK THIS
- Domestic Egypt Flights in country Jun 17, 24 2021 - WE BOOK THESE
- International Egypt to JFK (possibly IAD) - Jun 25, 2021 arriving JFK 3:15pm - WE BOOK THIS
- Domestic JFK (possibly IAD) to your home airport - Jun 25 no earlier than 6:15 or 6:30pm OR LATER (to allow time to deplane, clear customs, rebook bags, clear TSA again and get to your domestic gate which is different than the international gate we arrive at.)- YOU BOOK THIS
DOMESTIC FLIGHTS IN THE US TO JFK (possibly IAD) (You book this)
- For those arriving early we will be booking a day room in the HISTORIC TWA HOTEL & MUSEUM right by the Jet Blue terminal. There are restaurants, bars, museum and of course rooms. It has a bar that is a REAL DC3 airplane... staff are dressed as 1960's iconic flight attendants and we can EASILY spend 3-5 hrs here and not feel as if we've been in an airport all day. Its a mini vacation destination RIGHT INSIDE THE AIRPORT!! (Because of this I will be arriving early enough to greet those arriving early AND see the museum, the full property layout etc. so come join me early!)
- CONSIDER arriving a day early and STAY IN THE TWA HOTEL! The price is pretty reasonable and you can FULLY enjoy the 'staycation' plus have a leisurely day getting ready for the int'l flight to Egypt on the 9th.
- The International flight departs JFK @ 6:30pm on Jun 15, 2021.so we recommend that EVERYONE arrive no less than 3 hours before the 6:30pm flight. If you are FLYING to JFK and you can depart early enough possible AIM TO BE AT JFK by 1:00pm or 2:00PM to allow for any necessary buffer needed for document checking, covid test checking, back ups at the airport, any travel delays enroute to JFK etc.
- EVERYONE must be checked-in for the international flight NO LATER than 1 hour before departure.or by 5:30pm
- Since your domestic flight can not be booked as part of the international ticket you need to allow time to deplane in JFK, get your bags and proceed to the International terminal where you will begin to check in several hours in advance...usually 3 hrs. So AGAIN arriving between 1-2pm allows you time to get off the plane and get bags and transfer terminals and clear customs again and still be ready for the international flight 3 hrs in advance.
- On the plus side of the domestic flight to JFK not being connected to your international flight...your covid test window is now extended to 6:30pm vs whatever time your US domestic flight time is.
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT FROM JFK (possibly IAD) TO EGYPT FOR TRANSFER to DIVING (We book this)
- This flight departs at 6:30 pm on Jun 15, 2021. Please read the domestic flight notes above for when to be at the JFK airport by.
- These flights have been booked for you by our air consolidator. We have extra spots on hold on our contract at our group rates but need the final passenger manifest soon to finish ticketing.
- If you were ORIGINALLY doing the full flights and Nile Cruise & Tours then WE HAVE THIS ALREADY DONE FOR YOU.
- If you were Originally doing your own flights then we NEED A COPY OF YOUR PASSPORT sent to trips@singledivers.com along with seat requests so we can add you to the manifest in order to prevent ANY flight price increases.
- If you are doing your own flights to/from the US to Egypt or other parts of the world you will have special requirements in regards to meeting the group before our flights arrive and/or having us set up a private transfer for you to join us at the hotel etc to join the group. - We hope that 99% of the group uses the charter air we set up last year and have been holding onto as its usually the most cost effective AND eliminates issues with connecting with the group etc. MOST IMPORTANTLY...if this trip has to be rescheduled again...its all done in one easy step. ONE TRAVELER IS COMING FROM OUT OF THE US so she will have special info as its impossible for her to travel with us directly.
DOMESTIC FLIGHTS IN EGYPT FOR TRANSFER TO/FROM DIVING (We book this)
- We have booked all domestic flights for you INSIDE of Egypt. We will fly on Jun 17 and 24th domestically in Egypt.
- We will arrange all transfers to/from the airports and they are INCLUDED in our land pkg/ flights pkg.. If you are meeting us in Egypt we can book these domestic flights for you so you can share in the group benefits.
- All airline booking fees for Egypt International and Egypt Dometsic air is included in our pkg pricing.
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT FROM EGYPT TO JFK (POSSIBLY IAD) FOR RETURN HOME (We book this)
- This flight is part of the Land Tours & Air Pkg we have paid our Air Consolidator to book for us. (So its included in our air pkg)
- You will arrive at JFK at 3:15 pm. Please do not book your return flight home prior to 6:15-6:30 am and later is better to give you extra buffer for rebooking, customs clearance, getting to your domestic terminal, clearing TSA again and getting to your flights.
- Consider staying a night at the TWA airport on the return! Prices are reasonable and you never have to leave the property.
DOMESTIC FLIGHTS IN THE US FROM JFK (POSSIBLY IAD) TO HOME (You book this)
- You will arrive at JFK at 3:15 pm. Please do not book your return flight home prior to 6:15-6:30 am and later is better to give you extra buffer for rebooking, customs clearance, getting to your domestic terminal, clearing TSA again and getting to your flights.
- Consider staying a night at the TWA airport on the return! Prices are reasonable and you never have to leave the property.
- You will book this flight yourself but we can book it for you for a one time $35 booking fee
