This was my first real SD trip - besides the Athen's camp outs - and it was great. Kamala is unbelieveable the way she can juggle things and keep a smile on her face! She's every thing that Scott wrote and more - she's wonderful!

The diving was great. This is the first time I have ever gotten cold in Cozumel waters - I have been to Coz in Feb but never early Jan - by the end of the week I resembled the Michelin (sp?) man - I was in borrowed suits from several life savers! Thank you Jill and Carla!!!! We saw sharks, sea horses, HUGE spotted eagle rays, eels, groupers that were as big as a volkswagen, LARGE green starfish, lobsters, snipes, and a dog fish that was the size of the boat. Tons of pretty litte colorful fishes too! One on dive there was a large angel fish playing with the dive master's bubbles - it would bite a bubble and then swim through the bubbles and then bite more bubbles - too cute.

The group was so large we had to be split up on the morning dives - I missed the others when we were split up - but on the afternoon dives we all got to be on the same boat because not all of us did the afternoon dives.

I had two firsts on this trip - 1) I got seperated from my group - I do not do swim throughs - not my cup of tea - and I float over the swim through and follow my groups bubbles..........well...........I latched on to another groups "bubbles" and did not realize it - until I saw that MY buddy was not one of the ones looking at me!!! I could see other "bubbles" out in the abyss - but was not going to swim that far over - JUST IN CASE - I knew this group was on my boat!!! Dive N (Allen) swims over to me with the look of "WHY ARE YOU HERE???" and I did manage to sign I've lost my buddy - he was sweet and stayed with me until I could recognize my own buddy coming up - TRY SIGNING TO THE DIVEMASTER - YOU KNOW I DON'T DO SWIM THROUGHS AND YOU LOST ME!!!! Dive Candy thought I was propositioning her under water! Guess I better work on my under water signals. 2) I did a wreck with out panicking!!!!!! (thank you Gar and Dan for coming in behind me - just in case)

It was hard to leave paradise - I made a lot of good friends that I plan on seeing again soon - Carla I already miss calling you go-rilla arms and miss teasing the Bug. I too left with tears - and shed many tears on the drive from DFW to my apt. and yes, Deb, I know it's not good bye - but see you soon - I will try to keep chanting that!! I promised Bob (flatwood) NOT to mention too much about him trying to steal the wrong rental when we went to the other side of the island.............but it was comical. It is soooooooooo very worth going over to the other side - it's beautiful to sit out and watch the waves come in and mingle with your friends.

Hope to have some pics soon - mine are all top side - Jill took some great underwater shots that I saw - but there were several cameras - hope to see them soon.

Thank you all for the fun and memories - and thank you Kamala just for being you!!

It was -11 last night on the way home from work. :dltears: I'd have rather been walking back from the Frog. (Even though I bitched about the walk at the time :welcome: )

Sandy, you are a great dive buddy and absoultely a great new friend. I haven't laughed so much in I don't know how long. And for anyone that is ever stuck in paradise without your luggage, go steal Sandy's swim suits! She just makes you give them back in the end....

Book a trip with this group, you will absolutely have a great time :welcome:
