Would be nice.....

If I'm just not seeing it, my apologies.

Hey cutie....we aren't quite the big yet...although we do have a lot of Texans....but shhhhh....that part is a secret!!! (We kinda take a bum rap here since I live in Tejas...but don't tell that to anyone either!! ) :usflag:

However I'd love to see us grow to be big enough that we need to have a separate forum for each state's members!!! Cool idea!!! :welcome:

At least we have forums for individual continents.

Question; aren't Texas and Florida "other countries"???

IMHO, we could start with Texas, Florida, and California and see if anyone requests other states after those!

I'll have you know we have 5 members from Iowa, perhaps you were thinking of Rhode Island or Mississippi?

Question; aren't Texas and Florida "other countries"???

It doesn't matter, we don't have individual country forums either.

IMHO, we could start with Texas, Florida, and California and see if anyone requests other states after those!

That is exactly how we're planning our growth, but we're planning it based on posting activity rather than member numbers or requests. We really don't want to create state forums that have little or no activity. Having said that, it may be time to create forums for the most active areas such as Texas (216 members), Florida (150 members) & California (112 members). Our next largest group is our 56 Canadians. We'll look at the concept very carefully over the next few days. Thanks for the suggestion.

It seems like that at times, but Texans (or Texicans if you prefer 19th century terminology) make up only about 19% of our total.

Yeah...that's cuz we don't actually recruit here! Ok...well maybe just a little! Besides...I'd rather have members from other states! It makes it more interesting! :teeth:

That might work for Texas and Florida but I think there are only two members from NJ and we both prefer warm water to here so I would probably spend more time in a Florida fourm. :teeth: :lmao:

And although there a small handful of other Oregon divers that are members here, not many are active on the board - so it would be a fairly lonely forum - conversations with myself and such leading others to never want to dive with the crazy dive girl from Oregon!!
