Personal responsibility is very important. If someone wants to do something that is beyond their training and ability, I'll explain I why I think they should reconsider. It is then up to them to reconsider - or not. It is entirely their choice, I'll defend their right to make the choice. OTOH, I won't recommend such choices and I won't help them carry out such choices. The judge ruled correctly.

Nobody can "recommend" such a choice Walter. In order to make a "recommendation" one must first be in a position of either authority or trust. To gain the latter, one would hope that such a position was earned. (The former, however, is usually imposed rather than earned.)

One can only present the various risks and benefits as one sees them, and allow people to make their own decisions, balancing the risks and rewards as they see fit. That was the judge's point - and is mine as well.
