Does your phone operate in the 900MHz band? I supposedly got a crack for my phone which will enable it, hopefully it will work. What make and model phone do you have?

-Mike-
I have a motorola v-66, it is a tri band phone, and should work, according to T-mobils' web-site.

:teeth:
Yea, that's an older tri-band, before the 850MHz was used in the US, now the phones tend to be 850/1800/1900, IDK why US cell providers won't have companies make them with the 900MHz. I have 2 phones, one is a 900/1800/1900 (with the 900 disabled, hopefully my crack has enabled it) and the 2nd is a 850/1800/1900. I'll see when I arrive, hehe.

Ali,

It depends on if your company run the more expensive drug test (mine tests hair sample, blood sample, and also urinalysis) or your typical less expensive test that only check for the 5 major abusive classes of drug. I guess that's one of the hazard of being a "pill pusher." It's not a problem if you list everything you took in the last six months. You would test positive if you eat a hamburger with poppy seeds on the bun on the same sampling day or if you take common cough and cold remedies. If you list them on the questionaire, the lab company can go back and verify all the false positive tests.

I'll drink the Kava but will also list that if I need to donate a sample.

Gar,

I'll drink your Kava for you but it just wouldn't be the same. :dltears:

Ok for those who have NOT packed...I have more verification on the weights...

1. 55 # for your checked luggage
2. 11 # for your carryon

Carry on is weighed more religiously than checked when going to Kadavu and EVERYTHING is weighed more religiously when leaving Kadavu.

Not sure this helps but it means if you are bringing any school supplies like I am, that you should put them into your checked luggage and keep your carry on as light as possible.

Also...we have a planned visit to the local school to hear the children sing and to deliver our school supplies to them. (Toys are good but school supplies are like GOLD on the island!) :D

Hmmmm... just weighed in....

Checked bag is 55# on the nose... thats pretty much everything....

My camera case is about 18# and then i have a small back pack with shirt, shorts sandals and toiletries which is a couple #.

I will have to pay the overage for whatever, as long as the stuff gets there, I don't care.

Its funny how different the information is though, because I just spoke to a friend who went Air Pacific a few weeks ago and he told me that you get one carry on and a personal item, and he said they didn't weigh his stuff... It makes sense... I mean we are travelling on a 747 Jumbo Jet... weight should NOT be an issue on that flight...

See you sunday if the storm keeps at bay, or at least away from Orlando...

Won't you be paying $25 right off? Domestic weight on most (if not all by now) airlines is 50lbs per bag.

I have two checked bags, and I think they are both going to be close to 50 :D No way I can get everything in one bag, unless I really don't bring clothes!

Issue is NOT AirPacific...it is SunAir...the hopper from Nadi to Kadavu!

You thought of buying a double gear dive bag. Back in the day when I was married, bought a bag that would hold two sets of gear, etc...now that the ex is gone.....have room for the clothes too....worked out perfectly.....and so does the bag!

Domestic airlines are pretty flexibile... few lbs either way... no biggie to them... I didn't think PacAir would be a problem... figured it would be SunAir. Either way... nothing most of us can do... I am sure this is not hte first time they have had issues like this.... WIth the second plane, I would think our bags would get there....

hahahahahhahaha... yeah... what am i smoking?

I know it is in here somewhere, but what is the size/weight limit of the carry on?

In the first post...

AIR PACIFIC LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE

Normal free baggage allowance for travel from the USA and Canada is two checked pieces, not to exceed 70 pounds each. Total linear dimensions must not exceed 106 inches for both pieces. Maximum one piece is 62 inches, the maximum second piece is 45 inches. Air Pacific can be contacted direct for an estimate of excess baggage charges. 1 Carry-on per person 15lbs with 45 inch dimension.

The HOOK is SunAir:

55# total for checked bag(s) and 11# for the carry on. Dims same as above.
