Finally getting around to posting my report on my recent Cozumel trip. Each year our LDS runs a trip to Cozumel and this year it was set for Jan 9 -16, which co-incided with the SD trip, which happened to be at the same hotel even! Got a chance to meet a few people from SD including Kamala - couldn't miss her running around doing all the organizing for the SD group.

Anyhow, despite a number of people coming down with the Montezuma (I think we had about 15 or so of the 45 that went on the trip - seems to be unusually high this year), it was a wonderful time. Great weather for the most part and great dives. The water was fairly consistent at about 79F and as always, lots to see on the dives.

Anyhow, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, and I've finally gotten around to putting together a slideshow of the trip, which I think says it all.

Be forewarned that the file is about 120 MB in size, and depending on your connection, it may take a while. The server I have this hosted on tops me out at about 80 kb/sec, which took me 25 minutes to download the other day.

Cool Warren...let me say that the pleasure was mine! I am sorry to hear that your group had so many people get sick...we were very fortunate in that no one got sick...thank goodness!

Many of our members commented on how nice your group was and I met several folks who certainly were wonderful!

I hope our paths cross again...either as overlapping trips or together sometime!

Warren what a show... It took about 1/2 an hour to download on my PC and clicked on the turtle and was spell bound. So many faces from the hotel, the beach downtown and underwater - it was like I was there. Oh I guess I was there wasn't I. Just in a different boat and with a different group. Again thanks for sharing. Jay

It was a really fun time down there, but I'm sorry I didn't have as much time to hang out with the SD group. I managed to have a "conversation" with Montezuma myself towards the end of the week, which made it difficult to go to town....

And between the courses we were running (some open water, advanced open water and specialties) and everything else that was going on, it was fairly busy.

One of my big things in the past couple of years has been underwater photography, so I've seen a bit of improvement in my results, so I'm more than happy to share. There were even a few rare shots of myself taking pictures (I usually don't get pictures of myself, for obvious reasons). I know I've always enjoyed view the work of others.

Warren that was Awesome!!!!
I started the download this morning and forgot all about it. just
a few minutes ago I saw an shortcut on my desktop to the file.
I remember most of your groups face's and I beleive you and me and another from your group dove together once. Those are Great ! pic's and the slideshow
format was done very good also.
