Straight up...when I saw the "My Daddy, My Hero" sign I cried. To all in uniform, thank you for everything you do.

MV thank you for posting this! It was simply amazing. I am always in awe when I see our military come home and kiss the ground. I always realize how lucky I am and how easy things are for me. That one simple gesture reminds me of the sacrafices that have been made for my benefit and how little those that make those sacrafices ask for. I wish all that had the ability to make a difference in this world would do so and and ALL know that they CAN make a difference...no matter how small.

Start by thanking a soldier...and then thank their family for raising them to be the kind of men and women who love their country so much that they'd give anything to protect her and what she stands for....even their life.

And please read this story...but you'll need a tissue. -ww

I just saw Collective Soul in concert tonight, and between songs the lead singer mentioned that they had gone to Iraq and South Korea to play for the troops. He then said something like "It'snot a political statement, we just love our troops!" I thought that was pretty cool (and the crowd went wild with cheers, so I guess they thought it was cool too).
