Greetings........I found out about SD.com last weekend from WreckWench (aka Kamala S.) and thought I'd investigate. It looks appropriate to my status (single and a diver) so I'm aboard now. I met a few other members last weekend (we were at a dive club's "crawfish boil") and they all seemed like nice folks so that helped me decide to join. I did a dive trip with Kamala to N.Carolina a few years ago and it was a really good trip. So dive trips per Kamala are definitely OK in my opinion. I've done a lot of dive trips since I started diving in '95 and have always hoped to meet a nice woman(girl)diver that would make my diving more a "couples thing". So here's hoping for SD.com to help. P.S. I'm a guy, 56y/o, semi-retired M.D., divorced since '95, two more-or-less grown kids, slim, still have about 2/3's of my "original" hair left, still use all the scuba gear I bought when I started diving (with limited semi-retirement income, if it's travel or "stuff"(new gear) travel almost always wins). Hey Sunlover! Welcome aboard! Sounds like you've already gotten involved in some of the funnest part of hanging out on this site, which is going diving with other singles! Hope to see you on a trip sometime.

Hey also since you're here in Texas and if your not busy around the weekend before Memorial Day, May 21-23 you should come join us for our Camp Out weekend at Athens.. It's going to be a blast... Hi Tom!!! You found us!! I'm glad meeting No Pressure (Mark) and Narwhal (Jim) and who knows who else you met at the boil convinced you to check it out! You know how much I love my North Carolina trips...but this is even more fun getting this venture off the ground....or is that under the sea!!!
Thanks for the complements on my trips...the best part of my Singles Trips is that the diving schedule is more 'island' time...so they are fun and relaxing...but certainly offer tons of diving ops.
My theory for dive trips (other then make them as economical as possible!) is to offer 2 trips in one....an advanced trip and beginners trip but combine them so we all have a great time!! I also like to combine boat diving and unlimited shore diving so that you can dive dive dive or socialize all you want!!! One of my female divers from the Cozy trip told me that she decided to go cuz if everyone was a dweeb she could just shoredive the whole time plus the price was great! I asked her afterwards how many shoredives she did and she said....'I was going to do one but I was having too much fun with everyone!"
So I think its safe to say that you'll have a great time diving with us Tom and I hope you jump right in and make yourself at home! Its great to have another doctor on the board....Mark will love the company!!! -Wreck Wench
