Well, I would love to be there, but I can't be. Well, I could be, but then I don't own a dry suit and barely have enough open water dives worthy of bringing my stuff up there. However, if you will hold a seat for me at a carefully planned Happy Hour in July, I promise I will be there then!!!

Sorry I hijacked your thread! :banghead:

DBD you are always welcome to hijack the thread. :-D
Just let me know when your going to be here in July. We can take you diving I am sure you will do just fine out here. I know a few calm sites that are great for getting your fins wet during your first PNW dive trip.
Heck we let people dive out here that have no experience. :banghead:
And you will have TF under your belt by then. So you will be super experienced.

My daughter will have her OW Cert on June 12th and is planning on joining us on the dive. :lmao: It will be her first dive outside of class.

If we did Hood Canal, I'd only do a day trip up there and back and no HH since I'll be diving and driving. If we do Puget Sound area, those of us coming from the Portland area have places stay and can do a HH.

And on a side note, I teach 1-2 times a month in Hood Canal (typically Sund Rock), so personally getting out and about to other dive sites on my own personal time is great.

Ok Hoods Canal is out lets show Dive_Girl something new. Since she dives it all the time.

Anyone have any ideas? Like I already mentioned.. I like Ruston Way, Steilacoom, and Alki. All are interesting with easy access and have areas close by to meet at afterwards.

Ruston way gets crowded with classes on Saturday but it can be interesting. Edmonds might be fun. Havn't been there myself yet. Seacreast at Alki has lots to look at for people who haven't been there and new divers alike. The wreck of the Honey Bear is good and the I beams are deeper for those more advanced. Titow park has some resident Wolf Eels but we would have to check the tides. I'm not helping here am I. Part of the problem is there are so many places to go.

I'll be happy to set up a different group dive to Hood Canal with you some other time. Maybe we could do a two day out there this summer. What do you think?

you are helping LEE-Ward and thanks for the list.

And just think you will get to dive with Dive_girl, my daughter and me..
Now if that doesn't sound like fun I don't know what does.

Just to not confuse, I'm happy to dive Hood Canal too. I'd plan on it when it overlaps with a class weekend since I'll be up there on a Fri-Sun anyway and can sneak away to join y'all for fun dives.
