I met a diver who told me you have to have Adventure Diver completed before you do AOW. I have never heard of this,. but then again, I got my certs 10 years ago. Anyhow heard of this?

I did my AOW last spring in Florida and no one mentioned it.

Adventure diver is a subset of AOW. You don't have to be an adventure diver to get to AOW. An adventure diver is somebody who has done 3 adventure dives for instance. Drift, Night and Dry Suit(any 3). To get AOW you need any 3 adventure dives plus navagation and deep.
