People think your crazy when you not just volunteer to go but pull all your
favors to go. I did the same thing during Gulf 1. It was much harder for me to mainside
and not knowing than to be in country with my guys.
Of course when we started the ground attack it did me no good at all.
I sent my platoon over the birm but had to stay back because of course
I'm a girl and girls don't do combat.
My how things have changed.

I did the same thing... had to initial a Service to Service transfer to Warrant officer Chopper Pilots for them to send me over to SEA... so I hear ya...

Hard to set on the bench while the team plays huh. They didn't offer me a choice on DS1. Arrived in country 8 days before my ETS!!!!

You'll laugh, but when all this broke open..
I actually call the local recruiter to see if there was anything I could do...
Would/will have gone in a minute... so it doesn't leave you...
