Hey there,
I've just found out about a Master Diver course given by Sub-Aquatic Survivor in Key Largo in early September http://www.sub-aquat...nstructors2.asp . Is a reputable outfit? Is it the equivalent upon completion of PADI's master diver certification?

Hey you'll like alot of the changes we've made! Heck we even have dive trips where we ONLY dive in the afternoon via boat leaving the mornings open and relaxing or doing as much diving as you like! And we have higher accommodations trips as well!

The staff instructors certainly seem to have impressive credentials!
BUT... there's something about the name "Subaquatic Survivor" and the tag line "Who will make it... back?" that's a little frightening to me.
I always tell my students to make sure their number of ascents is equal to the number of descents.
And it's a running joke with some of my instructor buddies to always ask each other "How many students did you kill this week?"
So perhaps it's just humor... still kinda creepy though. I guess I'd rather not have my instructors pondering whether or not I'm gonna survive....

I looked at the course details and would love to spend 9 days in Key Largo focusing only on improving existing or acquiring additional diving skills. Wow!
They also make a very bold statement at the end of the description that they are NOT selling certifications, and that cards would only be issued to students who do successfully master the skills taught. I like that.
