Now Sapphire... why did you have to correct my comment about burning the ears of the ladies on SD. I wanted them to feel they were there with us yesterday... in a virtual sense anyway. Maybe most of it was in my mind anyway.
. B.

i'm glad she did. you made it sound like ana and jen were being catty about the rest of us. it was the "your ears would burn" thing...to me that means someone was talking about me...in NOT a good way!

thank you jen for clarifying something a guy wouldn't understand...even one as gracious and sweet as wildbill.... :teeth:

EXACTLY how I was afraid it would sound, Triggerfish! I am glad you understood my clarification. Ana and I :welcome: the other SD ladies!

Goodness ladies, I was just trying to have a little fun! Besides, it was us guys that did the talking! And, Triggerfish, why would you think you were the focus of attention? Is one of those personalities a bit paranoid?

CT- Diving dry is fine for those who can manage it. I've had too many buddies (long term drysuit divers) whose suits have filled up with water and they've had to abort dives or cancel further planned dives. My wetsuit ain't never done that, even in 48 degree water!

Why, Sapphire darling, I thought the blue on your lips was a new lipstick you were using. I had no idea you were getting chilly (heck, even I did... due to the hyperstretch type wetsuit).

LOL, no, not my new lipstick!!

Fun to dive again with you Sapphire... a bit different from our dive with Walter last year (colder but "crystal clear"). Ana was a lot of fun and of course it was fun to share the experience with the guys as well!

Dr. B.

It was fun, and nice to see you again, Bill! I appreciate you showing us the sights again! What a beautiful day it was, too! We will definitely have to do it again sometime.

Its more of a "visual". And it was not MY signal for men, I think it was actually suggested by the MEN!

Would someone PLEASE clue me in??? My overactive imagination is running wild picturing all the possibilities.

Yes, Erin & Triggerfish, "Shrinkage" is the clue...

However, the clue to Wrinkle's signal for thermoclines was related more to expansion than shrinkage!

Time to relax in bed with a good book... or just keep editing all this footage.

Hey Wrinkles and Sapphire....thanks for keeping the guys 'honest' and for looking out for our best interests!! You certainly do have respect for your fellow SD ladies!!! :respect:

Besides...the site wouldn't be any fun if the gals weren't allowed to set the tone and tempo around here. And no matter what they say....they LOVE it!!! :cool2:

Besides if the guys set it...well we'd have to call it something entirely different and I doubt very many if any of our down to earth, great gals like we have right now would join. (I know I wouldn't! LOL!!!)

Sorry it took me so long to get my trip report up here.

Ken is a very good buddy checker. I just got a bp/w not long ago so he made sure I set it up correctly.

On the way back I stopped to video sheephead eating black urchins that some ^&**%% morons had killed with their knives (this IS a marine reserve!).

I noticed them too. :o  I first thought it was the others then saw exactly what they were doing and knew they were not part of our group. I think the Sujac is an interesting wreck. I enjoy the rocks near the Sujac more than the actual wreck. There are so many critters in those rocks.

Lunch was at the Casino dock Side café. I had a yummy guacamole burger and a root beer.  I love diving but I also love the surface intervals especially when it is nice and sunny outside and I am getting food for my belly. I had great company and we got plenty of laughs some of them about the articles of clothing people were wearing.  :lmao:

The second dive was out to the canoes( as I like to call them). I actually took a heading and was able to locate the buoy indicating the wreck was near by. Dr. Bill showed Jen and I a neat crab along the way.  It was very cold at the canoes. This is where the infamous thermocline sign came up (pun intended)  :anna: If you are really that curious to find out what it is then feel free to come to California or if your already here just come and dive with me. I will be happy to give a demonstration if we actually hit a thremocline. Since it was cold we headed away and went towards the kelp. I am sorry once again Jennifer. I took her though some of the smallest places in the kelp. I like to hide in the kelp and surprise my buddy by b-lining it across and popping out next to them. I also like all the little things that hide in thick kelp and I can just float there and watch everything move around me. There was one particular area that was extremely dense and I didn’t realize Jen was following me through. Her expression on her face was enough to know how she felt about it LOL.

The third dive was to be our shallow one. Plan was to go to the swim platform in the corner of the park at 55' depth. Strong (for the Park) current had kicked up and progress was not easy. Vis was poor. When we reached 65' I turned left to head up a bit and, you guessed it, I lost Wrinkles and Mo2vation.

I told Mo2vation it was time to turn back also when I noticed how deep and where we were going. I wanted to do a shallow dive and the current was a bit strong so somehow he managed to take us to the canoes instead of the kelp. So we maneuvered our way to the kelp where it was shallower. I enjoy the surge and had fun playing in the kelp.

Ana thought it was great. I think she'd enjoy diving in a bathtub or a Warin blender as long as they were filled with water.

I would. I love diving.

We all spend a bit of time talking about the "goings on" on SD. Yes, ladies, some of your ears would burn. We men fared much "better."

Oh Dr. Bill are you trying to stir things up around here. :cool2: As Jennifer said we  :D  the ladies around here. So nice try but your not going to get a cat fights show here.

I'm an awful buddy diver (just as the other SD members who have dived with me). I'm so used to being solo that I don't have well-developed buddy skills, especially if I'm diving with my camera.

You’re not an awful buddy. I appreciated that you always told someone when you left the group. That is not a sign of a bad buddy.

The diving was wonderful. I enjoyed everyone’s company and am glad we all got together. Next time hopefully Jaime can stick around a bit longer so we get more than just a peep show. :anna:

Ana,

Inside the [] put "quote" at the beginning of your quotes and ''/quote" at the end. You had them reversed. Of course, if you'll simply highlight the quote and click the highlight button, the board will to that automatically.
