WOW! Trace...that was an excellent primer!

Now all I need are routing directions for a single tank with a 7 foot hose!

One of two ways:

1. Around the bottom of a canister for a canister light.

2. Excess tucked under the belt (try not to go through the belt when suiting up) of the BC in a simple bend.

That doesn't change between single tank or doubles. Either way it is available immediately upon being needed and is out of the way. Also, it is easy to restow either way.

Works great!
A person should be judged in this life not by the mistakes that they make nor by the number of them. Rather they are to be judged by their recovery from them.

This is one of the reasons I use a 5ft hose instead. The 5ft routes much like the 7ft, except that you tuck it under your arm (instead of a can light) then around the neck, and into the mouth. It deploys the same way, and works nicely in open water. There is not enough hose to snag anything.

Mind you I am doing this on a single tank, and to be honest, I'll probably do open water doubles the same way. However when in restrictions (or when I pony up for a can light) I'll go to the 7ft hose.
