E-ring: one episode may have been enough for me
the rest of the batch- no thanks
I use my 10" TV while I'm working at the computer. It is usually tuned to the news, but after watching the Jet Blue plane in the air for nearly 3 hours I'm giving up on the news, too. All I needed were occasional updates and the landing. And as far as the car chases go... I need none of that.
Wasn't it former FCC Chairman Newton Minnow who declared TV a wasteland decades ago? It has lived up to his every expectation when it could have done so much good.

A year or so I would have agreed with you Jamie. However after listening to a few interviews, and her wedding to that "actor" I may stop watching the only regularly scheduled show I watched last year. I don't mind the pregnancy, but she's lost her intellectual appeal for me."Alias" tonight ... mmmmmmmmmmm Jennifer .....
How about a good SCUBA show??? Somewhere in those 50 billion useless channels there should be room for one!

While I agree most of what is on TV is useless, there are plenty of exceptions...
- documentaries found on assorted cable channels as well as PBS
- my beloved 60 Minutes
- and Family Guy, of course!

Ah, my dear Caetllon, I was referring to network TV. I don't have cable and will agree there are some good shows there, but I would never have enough unfocused time to actually watch them! Funny, I "produce" a cable TV show and I can't even watch it on my home TV.Awww, drbill! It just isn't so!!Wasn't it former FCC Chairman Newton Minnow who declared TV a wasteland decades ago? The very few network shows that are watchable (IMHO) are like tiny islands in a vast sea. Perhaps that's not a good analogy since all of us love the sea itself!

Are they still on? I thought it ended after the 5th season? While I'm not much of a TV watcher, I do tune in for assorted cable TV shows from the States that we get here on our stations.

And yes we should have a decent show with diving!

Cool! The last episode of the 5th season was a little anti-climatic, I thought. I love the theme song, always liked music with a sexy base guitar. Now that Tony's son (AJ?) is through his adolescence, will he become a tenor instead of a soprano? Get it? hahahaha!!! (ducking).Nope! There will be a sixth (and I will be there, drooling in anticipation!)

Ok, again I'll share my geek side! Tonight instead of premieres, Stargate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica are having their season finales tonight on the Scit Fi channel. The gal who plays Starbuck on BG is from Portland! teeth.gif
That's where I'll be. Admiral Kane looks hot. Wasn't the original Admiral Kane Lloyd Bridges?
