I keep trying to update my personal photo, it goes through the motions, and everything seems fine, but it shows the old photo every time - what am I doing wrong this time?

Your personal photo?! What? No more Kermit?? 
I think you may be having the same problem I experienced when I tried to update my avatar. The jpg looks like it's selected but when you click update, the old one still appears. If so, what you need to do is REFRESH the page after you click update. You should see your new pic then. Hope this helps.
