What is a pilaf? I know what rice pilaf is. But if it's just rice than wouldn't I be ordering a side order of rice? I have worked in the grocery business for ten years and I have never seen a package of pilaf by itself. Does anybody know?

Isn't that what you do to your wetsuit after a dive? Like it's time to pilaf the wetsuit? :usflag:

I thought this was a complaints thread? If so then my complaint is that we're discussing verbs, such as pilaf. Is this boring or am I tired?

O.K., sorry for that, bring on the lace and leather, but I have no objections to either especially if mixed with chocolate, banana pudding, wine, beer, cheese, violins, ice cream and "Chambord" (whatever the hell that is), but please hold the rice!

Now, what about complaints?

We wouldn't discuss verbs - that is boring.
Pilaf is a noun - the name of the dish. Or, I guess, it can also be an adjective - describing the rice in rice pilaf. Now isn't that much more exciting? :usflag:

I'd like to complain about Hawkeye demanding that we stay on topic.

I'd like to complain about Alikat's, BeachBunny's, and FinGrabber's mention of leather and lace and chocolate pudding wrestling without providing suitable visual evidence of said attire or activity or preferably both simultaneously.

Furthermore, I would NOT like to complain about missing visual evidence of Scubahawk's cheese binding.

OK then, I would like to COMPLAIN about the use of "colored" lettering. I find blue pains the eyes to read in.

My best buddy is in Florida and I am stuck in Virginia. I can complain, but there isn't much I can do about it unless I quit my job and start looking for another in Florida.

Maybe it's time to semi-retire. Invest in a dive shop in the Sebastian / Vero Beach area? Anyone know of one for sale?

I find it most annoying when at the check-out counter in grocery stores, the person ahead of me doesn't have the courtesy to place the divider after their stuff. Sometimes I'll just start piling my stuff up after theirs, with a bit of space in between, and once their stuff is scanned, they STILL just stand there and can't be bothered to tell the cashier that their stuff is done.

Who are these people? The same ones who get in an elevator first and don't bother to hold the *open door* button while 10 more people enter??

Yes I again stand corrected by the other Hawk! I knew it wasn't a verb I just couldn't remeber how to spell adjective!!! I thought I could slip it through.....
