Discover Scuba: If you or any of your single friends are NOT certified yet in this fantastic sport, you can do a "Discover Scuba, Social and Fun" June 11th and June 25th from 7pm to ??? where you can try the gear...go down with qualified instructors in a controlled environment aka "a pool" and then tell your exciting 'fish tales' afterwards at a fabulous wine, beer, cheese & meat happy hour and heavy hors d'oeuvres. This event is taking place in Dallas,TX at Royal & 35 at the old 2Dive4 diveshop at 11441 N.Stemmons Freeway #145 Dallas 75229 . Price of $50 includes gear rental, instruction, food and drinks afterwards. Space is limited to 20 people each night and spots are filling fast!

Q. Can divers join in the fun?
A. Sure they can...and several plan to attend with a friend who is trying it out! The price for the diver who may also accompany their friend in the pool is $25 for the social portion of the evening.

Q. Can I bring a friend with me to try it?
A. Sure you can...the more the merrier. The 20 person restriction only applies to the people doing the Discover Scuba.

Hey Ladies....WOW!! Thank you so much for all your help! We worked really hard at recruiting a bunch of folks tonight and I think we got a lot of interest...and YES I only talked to women about it and a couple of guys that could bring A LOT of women with them!

Working on recruits at work - I think Lyn (the guy who called you on the trips) is considering trying it out. I've tried for years to get him to take a class! He came over to my cubicle all smiley yesterday after talking to you and said he's probably going to try it on the 11th. Way to go!! He was very impressed with how nice you were to him over the phone. We are insurance bodily injury adjusters and peple are usually not very nice to us on the phone! :dltears:

Wow! Thank you...you just made my day! He was very nice as well! Although not a diver he wanted to save money on trips and avoid single supplments. I told him he'd be welcome to travel with our groups as we always have a non-diver rate but he might sometimes not have too many people to buddy up with while we were diving. He said he didn't think that was a problem! I told him the good part would be that if he was seriously considering learning to dive...being around divers is a great way to learn more from the best experts out there....OTHER DIVERS!

I hope not. Discover SCUBA and fast OW courses turn more people off diving than anything else. Most people need more time to slowly get used to diving. It's a big step for most folks.
