[Desert_Diver]

On the Flight to Fiji or on the way back did anyone see that magazine on the plane called Islands?
on the cover there was a Pipe Fish. I looked and looked for one but never did see one. did any of you see a Pipe Fish while you where there?

I *think* Bill got a shot of one - can't tell, except for maybe the tail. I'll post it over in the gallery, and the experts can argue over the family (pipe, corenet or trumpet fish).

BTW, I'm pretty sure the Manta photo I posted in the gallery came from Dave. Dave, we need LOTS more of your shots posted. I sure liked 'em! I found it on my thumbdrive when I came back, so I can't give the correct attribution for the photo, for certain.

i tried and it said it was too big, but it was only 49k. I can't find the gallery, anyone know where it is?

Since a lot of the photos and all of the galleries are in limbo somewhere, I put some of my pix (plus the manta shot from Dave?) up at

Pretty much the same that I'd uploaded to the Fiji 2005 gallery before. PRETTY PLEASE don't hammer it repeatedly, or Cox will take it down if the bandwidth exceeds some mythical figure... I'll take it down once the board is back in the land of the sane.

WARNING: there's about 9 meg of photos on the page, so if you're on a slow dial-up, count on it taking a helluva long time for the page to load...

Stan great shots... funny how you pulled off shots without me even knowing I was in them.... (sleeping on the beach... not the most flattering) great stuff... really enjoyed seeing them!!!!!

OK so I have gotten a few PMs regarding the video, so I thought I would let ya'll know that I am getting close. I took the week of Thanksgiving off from editing (including the weekend) and I wasn't able to bring my gear with me on the road this week... so I will get back at it this weekend. I should be done editing in the next few weeks and will be ready to produce shortly after that.

I am going to be soooooooo late for work this morning but I just had to watch Ari's videos. Amazing!!! No wonder you said you felt like you got to visit Fiji every day while you are editing...I feel like I am back on Kadavu right now. I can hardly wait to see the rest!

Ari - the videos are wonderful!!!!! I can't wait to see the finished version. I am hopefuly the video of my sucker fish incident didn't make it back to Florida!

I've made everyone at work watch the links - they think they are great too!!!!

And .... DVDs are being mailed now. I missed a few blurry shots and a couple are still sideways, sorry, but, the DVDs are one their way. I have 1/2 burned and mailed and should have the rest done tomorrow afternoon. I am sure there are photos that I missed somehow and some that are in there that you don't want to see, but, there are 3500 photos on the DVD and a couple of movies.

Everyone have a WONDERFUL HOLIDAY! As it's about 16 degrees outside I look out the dark window and really wish I were right back in Fiji!!!
