Ok so Thanksgiving is over...the scales may show a few pounds of damage so what is your plan of attack?

Are you going to 'diet'?
Are you going to skip some meals to compensate?
Are you going to ignore it and hope it doesn't become permanent?
Are you going to exercise more to try and offset the weight gain?

Tell us your best secrets for battling the holiday bulge?

I don't know about you, but I've been sitting in this chair typing on the keyboard for the past few days - sleeping here and there and otherwise getting out of the chair to indulge in leftovers! Far as I'm concerned it's still Turkey Day till the turkey's gone! :-)

Then I'll plan my next dive trip - that always seems to help me drop about 5 lbs.

I'm betting that switching from a single to dubs for the first time in 20 years will take care of THAT!

Since the 85's will most likely stay in the Van 24/7/365, I plan to don them daily for a lap or two around my Warehouse floor...

:D

I know I must be strange but when I see all that food in front of me I actually eat less! Traditionally, I tend to lose weight over the holidays since I am so overwhelmed that I just don't eat as much. Strange I know but I never claimed to be normal...

I tend to do the same thing espically if I end up cooking for a group which I did for Thanksgiving, I eat a lot less.. and besides with being on Weight Watchers I've cut back a lot and can't eat that much...

I went diving before dinner. Got home and after getting the gear cleaned and drying, I discovered that I was just not that hungry. I eat a normal sized meal.

What a coincidence - diving around my house makes me loose my appetite also. ;)

I actually lost about 3 lbs over the holiday. I just didn't eat as much as I used to eat at Thanksgiving. I also felt much better and slept much better that night.

You are so lucky Dennis loosing 3lbs.. I only lost 1.6 then again men tend to loose much quicker than women do which stinks!! :cheerleader:

I didn't gain anything over Thanksgiving BUT this time of year with it getting colder I'm not on the bike as much so I need to watch my intake or I'll be over weight by spring.

Ah those with a higher metabolism are so lucky! I'm going to be to skipping on the sweets and the cokes. Luckily I didn't go to far overboard this Turkey day. Guess I stuck to my limits pretty well. However, after taking a week break, its back to the gym routine. Can't wait for the next holiday!

I really don't have a very high metabolism. I have just limited my intake and began a regular excersize program. It's really hard for me to lose weight.

once I am done stuffing myself with the holiday meals I restart my aerobic exercise in an attempt to lose all the weight I gained. Although it is a good idea to keep up with the exercise.

You needed to ask? DIVE, DIVE, DIVE (with or without buddy)! Then SEX, SEX, SEX (a great way to burn calories... if only I could find a "buddy" with benefits).

I've gained 20 pounds in the last 6 weeks. Yet I still fit in my pants (well, most of me does). I think the battery in my electronic scale is dying. At this rate I should be over 500 pounds by Easter!
