What are you doing for Christmas?

Well, I have been a little quiet lately and seeing no one has jumped on this topic, I will do it.
What is everyone doing for Christmas? Myself, it will start Christmas Eve by attending a large Christmas Service at the Toyota Center, the guests scheduled to appear are Clay Walker (country music star) and Yolanda Adams (pop R&B star). The service is a combined service by all three campuses of Second Baptist Church of Houston. After the service, I will go over to a friend's house who is having a Christmas Eve party since her family lives far away.
On Christmas Day, I will go over to my brother's house who lives here in Houston. In my family, we spend Thanksgiving together usually at another brother's house in Waco or at my sister's in Dallas. This year, it was in Dallas. Then at Christmas, we spend it with our spouse's families but since I do not have a spouse, I always go to my brother's.
And while I am here, I would like to wish all of you here a very Merry Christmas whereever you go.
What are the rest of you going to do?

Saturday morning I'm Maui bound. I'll be there until the 6th of January. Maybe, just maybe, I'll get a dive or two in.
That is SO not cool....for me!
I will be spending Christmas in San Antonio with my parents, brother, great aunt, and cousin (oh and of course my "kids"). On the 26th it is back to Dallas to do the whole thing over with my older brother, younger sister, and their families, then on the 27th I am headed to East Tennessee for the week. Lucky lucky me!
I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday (whatever one you might celebrate, or be like the Hawk and celebrate them all!!!!) and safe travels!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christy

Unfortunately this year my brother and his family are on the other side of the country and won't be here for the day. His forecast at this stage looks as though it's going to be in the 40°s (100°F) and very hot.
Mum and I will have a quiet day compared to other years - just her and I. In previous years it's usually lounging by the pool, having a bbq lunch with coonack cocktail (coonacks are like freshwater crayfish but I don't like them), chicken, turkey, lamb, lots of salads, pavlova, sherry trifle, fruit salads, icecream, wine, beer, cider, more lounging by the pool, playing snooker and so on. Present opening is short and sweet. (I hate having to buy presents! It's getting way too commercial.)
Christmas down here is very different to what I experienced in Canada but there are a lot of similarities.

1) I am off from today until the 9th of January!!
2) I spend Christmas with my family at my brother's house in Plano...we open presents, eat until we can't eat anymore, etc, etc
3) take off all next week! I plan to start my New Year's exercise program; sometime next year I'd like to do either a dualthon or triathlon
4) go to Cozumel with all those crazy SDer's for New Year's Eve!

Mom is with my middle sister, little sister is in Atlanta with her kids and leaves for the Dominican Republic the day after Christmas, no one talks to the oldest sister (for good reason... even if that isn't in the spirit of the season). My housemate will be here but we generally don't celebrate holidays "together."
Can I let you know Sat night?

You mean there's hope? Just teasing ya, Caetllonn. Looking forward to finally meeting you and spending some time getting to know you. Just get ready to thaw out a bit... forecast is for weather in the 80's over Christmas weekend! I love southern California (most of the time).
