I am PM'ing my guesses to Walter... so as not to tip anyone off

Very interesting.

So far, 6 think Triggerfish is a nun while 1 thinks that honor belongs to Laura. A different combination of 6 think DiverLady likes to run around topless while one suspects the exhibitionist is WisconsinGal. 4 think the little girl in the tinted glasses is Laura, while 2 think that must be Sapphire and one is sure that's Triggerfish as a child. 4 think Nextariel started diving shallow early while 2 think it's Laura and 1 thinks it's Coppermaus. All 7 that took a shot believe Mischievous is the kid who took home a trophy for being cute. 1 person thinks Diverlady likes red vests, but the other 7 are sure that's WisconsinGal. It seems the cute girl in the pigtails was the hardest to pick out. 3 said she's Sapphire, 3 think Nextariel and 1 guessed Coppermaus. What is that little blonde doll holding in her hand? I don't know, but you guys are pretty divided on her as well. 4 of you think she's Coppermaus and 3 said Sapphire. (I didn't include Sapphire's guesses in my totals "so as not to tip anyone off")

I must say I enjoyed reading Coppermaus' reasons for her guesses, much more interesting that straight lists.

Imagine my surprise as I started reading the first post (inserting my thoughts in red) with guesses (sorry Chuck, but with one guess, I'm not counting your post), and I see coppermaus as she says........

DiverLady - 5 - DL would have to be our wild, topless adventurer type with a broken arm. Was it a charging rhino? Cave-diving accident? Fell off the swings?

Damn! she got the first one. Lucky guess.

Laura - 18 - Dig that groovy hairstyle, baby, and them in-yo-face glasses! That hip chick has gotta be Laura.

OK, 2 right, but it wasn't a hard one.

mischievous - 44 - Well, we all like to pick a winner (and 'chie is one fer sure). So what's the trophy for? Cutest girl with glasses award?

This was probably the 2nd easiest one to pick, I expected her to get this one. 3 of 3, excellent. The hard ones are yet to come.

nextariel - 43 - Tough one, since we are all bathing beauties after all, and this is almost a baby pic, but it's a guess. Definitely a future diver; you can tell already.

It's tough all right. How in the hell did she nail that one? 4 of 4

Sapphire - 70 - Eyes and hair look like a match to me, but why so sad, Sapphire?

Boy, is this girl out in left field! Not too bright to think this is Sapphire when it's, in fact, coppermaus. Oh, she knows this is her own pic. She's trying to throw people off the scent.

triggerfish - 3 - TF has to be our little Catholic girl, as wild and irreverent as she is!

Now wait just a minute, this should be one of the 2 hardest to guess, yet there was no hesitation.

WisconsonGal - 58 - It's a blonde thang, plus that smile looks like the one we've come to know and love from WG

OK, this was probably the easiest one to guess, I expected her to get it. She knows all 7 and since she knew Sapphire wasn't # 70, she knew (or guessed) Sapphire is # 93 which I didn't think anyone would get. The first one is 8 for 8. This girl is smart!

A PM from 'maus confirmed the 70/93 swap was to confuse the issue.

Bottom line - 3 people got all 8 correct - Coppermaus, Marvel and Sapphire. SuperDave and Nexariel both nailed 6. WreckWench, AndrewJD, Mischievous and Maxdvr all batted .500 with 4 correct guesses and ChinaCat46 batted 1.000 with his one correct guess.

WisconsinGal and Mischievous were the easiest to guess with 9 people guessinging them correctly. Next were DiverLady and Triggerfish with 8 correct guesses. Laura and Nextariel were spotted by six of our members. Only 4 folks were able to see Sapphire in the cute little blonde girl. We have 3 detectives who came up with Coppermaus' as the sad child (of course one of them was Coppermaus).

That was fun. We need more photos for round 2.

Looks like Coppermaus gets first prize with Marvel picking up 2nd and Sapphire 3rd. It was really a three way tie, but time of entry counts.

Woohoo! Do you know how much time I spent going back & forth before I guessed??? Man- that was tough! Still trying to get a picture from my daughter- the official keeper of the memories...
