To everyone...may your year be peaceful and smooth.
Now what fun would that be? As Tina Turner said, "We like it rough..."

Still have 7 hours until New Year in Hawaii. The whole neighborhood seems to be setting off fireworks already!
I am more than ready to say "BYE" to 2005, and ALOHA to 2006.
My plans for the evening? Watching the sunset, a bit of pyrotechnics, some eats, some drinks, hopefully some poker! Speaking of poker, my son managed to pull a straight flush on Christmas! He played the hand perfectly, suckering the entire table into betting like mad. The odds getting of this hand are 1 in 82,000. Yes, I am a geek, I looked it up!

In Ike and Tina Turner's cover version of "Proud Mary" (an old Creedence Clearwater Revival song) the song opens up with Tina saying that folks want them to sing something nice and easy, but they never do anything nice and easy...they do it nice...and rough.
