I started thinking today about how we choose those we dive with. I am curious how everyone found out about SD.com........for me it was my LDS, Scuba Toys. After I finished my OW training I was complaining that I do not have anyone to dive with. One of the gentlemen was kind enough to tell me all about SD.com! Is that service or what?

So tell me, how did you find Single Divers.com?

I saw their booth at the Sea Space show in Houston in 2004. I picked up the literature...and then a few weeks later I was about to throw out the bag, but decided to go through the stuff one more time. I came across the flyer or brochure and decided to log on and see if it was for me. That was almost 2 years ago! :canada:

Well I met Wreckwench at my LDS about a year ago and she of course gave me a frig magnet that I stuck in my center console of my truck, and there it sat until 2 weeks ago. I was cleaning my truck up for a date and ran across the magnet. And now you all get to deal with me..... :lmao:

Saw the banner on another site with pics from an SD gathering so I checked them out briefly. Then I ran across the table for SD at the SCUBA In10City Tour at Scubatoys last year.....and attended my first HH that evening.

The rest is history. I'm still not sure how I ended up as DFW HH Coordinator that June.

Now I'm in Partner Central on the board.

I needed a dive buddy, so I just did an internet search for single and diver. This was the first site that popped up. Been here ever since!

Kamala paid $650 for an ad in Dive Chronicles magazine that was handed out at BTS in March 2004 and appearently I was the only one who followed up on it so I guess I'll need to hang around awhile to pay her back.
At $25 a year I guess I won't be dating any older women from the board toward the end :lmao:

The sister of another memeber kept calling me and telling me I needed to check out this board. For three weeks it was "Have you gotten on yet?" At first I misspelled the address and couldnt find the site but luckly the member finally rescued me and got me on. I hung out at SeaSpace last year and Kamala cant get rid of me now.

A Wicked Wench turned me onto it... dare I mention where we "met," Kamala? That should at least stir up a little curiosity!
