Last night I was at a presentation about Glutathione and a nutritional supplement called Immunocal. The presenter told us that all other antioxidants (e.g., Vitamin C, selenium, Vitamin E, etc.) depend on the presence of glutathione, hence it is the body's master antioxidant. Glutathione is also a limiting factor in the effectiveness of white blood cells and liver functions.

Although glutatione can be taken orally, very little of it gets into the bloodstream that way. A more effective nutritional supplement to raise the body's glutathione levels is whey protein. However, depending on the pasteurization temperature used for the milk from which the whey was derived, protein denaturation may impair its bioavailability of the glutathione.

Immunocal is a commercially-available whey protein concentrate. The speaker was touting it as an excellent way to raise glutathione levels. Does anyone have any experiences or insights on Immunocal?
