Can anyone give me the name/number to a comany that will provide trip cancellation insurance. I live in Fla. and am concerned that I might lose out on my trip to Roatan in Sept. due to a hurricane.

Check in the "Important Things to Know" under the trip forum. There is a link there to a travel insurance page.

Check out www.InsureMyTrip.com. You can select from any one you want. I have used HTH Worldwide a number of times. They paid fairly quickly after Ivan kept me out of Key West.

A number of our members have used CSA including myself. And I know that they are very easy to make a claim on and they pay quickly. We've had excellent service and luck with them. Here is more information:

TRIP INSURANCE:

Trip insurance is strongly suggested to protect you from lost luggage, travel delays, vacations interruptions, flight cancellations, illness prior to the trip, deaths in family causing trip cancellation etc. For about $45 per $1000...it is very reasonable.

I've researched several companies and although DAN does offer optional trip insurance, I have found an excellent alternative provider. You can get an online quote from them and/or purchase directly from this link.

Kamala have you looked at AccessAmerica?...I found their rates to be about 10% to 20% lower than CSA. I have checked the basic coverage it looks to be about the same....No idea on how they pay ther claims. If you have any info on them...give us the heads up.
You must endeavor to pursue!

Thanks for the heads up. I know claim payment is vital and CSA does a great job...both from a claimant and vendor such as myself perspective. They just 'stamp' our claims thru now that we've had a few with them and have given us high marks about the completeness of our docs and supporting details. :cool1:

Although Access America may be cheaper for comparable coverage...Is it as good as CSA? Anybody have any info?
